“A Wonderful Weekend”
Reviewed April 27, 2013

The hotel is in a beautiful location, with fabulous sea views from the rooms. Our room was spacious, clean and well equipped, the only downside being that there were no baths which is not ideal when travelling with a toddler and baby. Reception staff were friendly and welcoming on arrival. We ate at the restaurant on both nights and although service was slow, staff were polite and helpful. There is a lovely swimming pool with a play area for children (which has clearly seen better days and probably would not pass a safety test!) and food and drinks can be ordered outside throughout the day. The location of the hotel made for a very peaceful stay, a world away from our current home in Dubai.

Previous Trip Advisor reviews appeared to be rather mixed so we were pleasantly surprised to find a hotel in a beautiful location overlooking the sea. If you have travelled around Oman like we had, it quickly becomes apparent that half-decent hotels outside Muscat are a rarity (unlike Dubai), more so when you consider the extremely remote location.

Rooms are spacious, with a sizeable balcony. The swimming pool is very pleasant, and waiter service generally appeared friendly. Buffet meals were excellent - all in all a great stop-off for the dhow trip we had planned.

Room Tip: I think they all overlook the sea.....

Great views. Clean hotel, decent food. The service was not great as the hotel seemed understaffed, and the staff seemed really unhappy. The room itself was fine, with a great view, so is ok! The gym was old and did not seemed to be maintained. It had 1 treadmill, very old, and 1 bike which was unplugged.
The pool is nice, too bad it didn't have a beach.

The location is ideal, but the service is horrible. The Omani staff at reception was great, but the waiters etc horrible. You also have to order the buffet or wait for your food for 1 hour...

Would not recommend staying here again.

We were very lucky to get a room when we visited. We took the three remaining vacant rooms when we visted as a family. Top class hotel in great surroundings, not cheap but you pay for quality in Oman. Breakfast and dinner were both buffet but did not disappoint at all. The staff were really helpful and kind. If there was any complaint it would be that at times the service can be slow but that can be said about all over the UAE and Oman.
Top tip is sort out visas as far ahead as you can as they are very thorough on the Border Control and a little on edge with Iran being very close by, over the gulf straights.
Well worth a visit if in Kashab, Oman.

Room Tip: Rooms 101 to 106 are lower floor with direct access from balcony to hotel pool.

Stayed here 22nd - 24th March and had a lovely time. The hotel staff were excellent, very attentive and welcoming even though it was after 1 am when we arrived after a long drive. Rooms were comfortable and clean, although I found the bed a bit on the hard side. Good size balcony to sit on and admire the views from.
Food was very good with quite a choice. Breakfasts were buffet with a large range of hot and cold food. For the evening meal, whilst there is an a la carte menu, we had the buffet which was very good, well presented with a good choice. All alcohol, especially wine was very expensive but sometimes it's nice to push the boat out. Talking of which we did the Dhow trip into the 'fjords' which was superb, fully recommend this excursion. The other day we drove up into the hills towards Dibba. Stunning views but can only be done in a 4x4 as the road is very rough and was washed out in a couple of places from the previous days heavy rain.

Overall: A very good hotel and I fully recommend a short stay there. I would be reluctant to stay there for a longer period as there is not much to do in the area, but that's not the hotels fault.

Room Tip: A view over the pool is nice
