We used Khourshem tours to come from Dubai for a Dhow and beach camping trip for 20 people. The trip included return transfers to Dubai, an all day Dhow cruise with dolphin watching and overnight camping on the beach.

All email liaison before we went was speedy and well informed
The driver was on time, the minibus clean and he was very helpful at the border (which can be a bit daunting if you've never been before)
The dhow cruise was well organised, a nice lunch was provided with soft drinks and we saw dolphins and had the chance to snorkel. The staff were polite and very helpful the entire time
Campsite set up was excellent, bedding clean and quality tents. Dinner is basic but very tasty. Again staff and service were flawless.

Honestly from the operation side, I couldn't fault it.

The water in Oman around the camp site is home to luminescent plankton all year round. Wait until late and the lights are turned off and swim in the water. It's like swimming in glitter and tremendously beautiful. (Just don't put your feet down as there were spiky urchins at night on the floor)

Whilst we were in the sea the entire time, just before we left a person in the group was stung by a jelly. I saw the jelly swim away and there was only one of them and very small but it was a bad sting. That said we only saw one the entire time we were there so I wouldn't worry too much, just be vigilant.

We did not book the boat cruise as we came in via the fiords. Our driver was waiting for us at the cruise terminal.
We proceeded to drive up to the look out to get a magnificent view of the fiords. Due to flooding we did not go down the other side to the village ; but returned to do a tour into the wadi to watch the river flooding. A trip of a life time watching cars all coming out to enjoy the rains. The road flooded so we then returned to have a tour of Khasab. Walked the fort which had lots of displays. Ps. Persons in the Dhow got very wet. Ha Ha

We have pre booked the tour a month before and straight away Shemeer the Operation Manager was always responding very promptly. During the day itself of the cruise (we booked for half day), it has been very pleasant: we were only in 8 on the boat (of which half was just us) so we almost had the boat for ourselves. We stopped many times to see the dolphins whenever we had the chance to, and the team was very flexible according to what we wanted (we didn't want to swim so he organised the tour in another way!). So if I have to recommend someone, I will definitely recommend them!

We were family of 5 and took the full day cruise on Wednesday....The cruise was very nice and enjoyable and its a must do in khasab.....The best thing in the tour was that the dolphins swam along side our dhow for around 5-7 mins continously.....My kids enjoyed it so much....Everything was fine and the only thing we were little unhappy was regarding the snorkelling equipment....its better to bring your own....otherwise the trip was very good and we all enjoyed it thoroughly......

My family (4 of us) was on a cruise on the Arabian Gulf. We pre-booked the dhow cruise with Khourshem Tour. Their operation manager was able to answer all my questions promptly which makes booking very easy. On the day we arrived we were picked up by the tour guide and board one of their bigger boat. The boat have a capacity of about 50 to 60 people, since the boat was not completely full it was quite spacious. The boat was luxurious and we all sit on the floor with very supportive cushion and seats. The boat ride was smooth and throughout we were served with pops, fruits and tea. We saw quite a bit of dophins and the boat anchored for 30 minutes so guests can snorkel or swim in the clear turquoise water. There were lots of tiny fishes swimming around, the tour guide bought in some star fish and sea urchins for us to see and we took some photos. Overall it was a relaxing trip with varieties of things to see and do, it is an enjoyable trip.
