Description: Sanfords has been an Astoria landmark since 1922. The Sanfords of today serves exceptionally well prepared American comfort food, in a modern, casual & sleek environment. The space is bright & alive during the day. Dim, candlelit and relaxing in the evening, with loungy tunes playing in the background. The combination of lighting, sound & warm colors create a truly unique vibe in the space. Aside from the great food & atmosphere, Sanford’s also boasts Queens most affordable & diverse premium beer & bottled wine list, with over 30 wines by the glass. All of our wines are maintained in the Le Ver devin Wine preservation system, which pumps the precise amount of air out of each bottle of wine that is opened. The only things we love more than food & wine at Sanford’s, is people, and the fact that Good food and drink brings people together. Sanford’s is a place for people old and young, to come to eat, drink and celebrate life, family and friends.

We come here about once a week, they are open 24hrs. The food is amazing, chicken cordon bleu is great, so is the gorganzola burger, as well as all the desserts. Great service, and a really awesome brunch for only $14.00!! Cant beat that in NY!

Here's the deal. Food is very good...and sometimes inventive.A little on the pricy side...but the quality is there. So, go enjoy the food. Here's my only negative, after going about a dozen times over thid year. 1- They music they play is a little to loud for a resturant. maybe good for a bar....which they have. It'slike a resturant in a cheesie bar...but mind you....the food is good.
2-The service is not up to par with the food. You have to ask for refills of water and coffee...and they were not busy...which, at lunch hour, at 12:30PM, they should of. Why?

This is such a great little spot for brunch and so reasonably priced. My sister is a local and she eats here regularly. The brunch menu is $14.00 for a choice of entrée off the menu either breakfast or other items and there is quite a bit to choose from. plus 2 alcoholic drinks each like a bellini and a coffee. or you can choose just the entrée without the coffee and drinks and they are around $8 to $10.
My sister had the steak skillet and it was excellent. The portions are also a great size. There is usually a small wait about 20 to 30 minutes but it is worth it. The owner was there when we went and he was so attentive to what was going on in his restaurant. He was walking the floor checking that everyone was ok and double checking all the food that was going out. You don't see that kind of pride to often. I spoke with him and he said he opened the restaurant in 1973 (of course it has been renovated beautifully since) and now his sons run it but from time to time he comes by to check things out. I thought that was nice and I will go back to see them whenever I'm in town.

I like to eat here from time to time. Sanford's is also a favorite of waiters from other restaurants in the neighborhood and you can often see them hanging out there. Try their wraps and chicken entries. They are located by the Broadway Station on the N and Q lines in Queens.
