Tropical paradise island with lovely beaches of white sand and clear blue sea and waving palm trees. We loved the peach and quiet and found it a very relaxing holiday.

Kanumera Bay has beautiful surroundings which includes the sacred rock which is popular for snorkeling around its perimeter. Laze on the beach after a swim/snorkel and then replenish with lobster or kebabs cooked on grill on the beach after all the morning/day activities. Just marvelous...is the Isle of Pines, will love to come back to Kanumera Bay. Loved it !

This was the best place to swim and snorkelling looked good too. We only had an hour but as the cruise ship was in we joined in the entertainment on offer for free. Lobster and whole grilled fish available; I tried the bougna which was delish.

just a short 10min walk from the ferry terminal and you'll end up at this stunning little beach. it's picture postcard perfect. soft fine white sand, crystal clear blue water, and of course pine trees in the background. the water temperature was perfect - not too cold and not too warm so it's not refreshing. we enjoyed quite a few hours here and it went past really quick. there's no snorkelling as such but it's a such a beautiful beach i spent more time just admiring the scenery rather than in the water. One downside is the beach is long but not very wide so there's not a lot of sand to sit on. it was fine cause we didn't come in on a cruise boat but i can imagine it might be difficult to get a spot if a cruise boat came in.

We visited Isle of Pines on a cruise. Kanumera Bay was stunning. The rock itself is a sight to behold and the water is clear and great to swim in. The best feature of this bay is the snorkelling. You do not have to swim out far to get to the reef and fish so it is perfect for inexperienced swimmers and snorkellers. I saw a great variety of fish. Very interesting! At times the reef was only a metre underneath me and schools of fish were within my reach. I would recommend this destination mostly for it's snorkelling. The snorkelling is best to the left of the rock. The only downfall was the crowding due to the cruise ship. I can't even imagine sharing Kanumera Bay with only a few others, it would be breathtaking. Various stalls were set up around the bay, I tried a sea snail for $3. It was cooked with garlic sauce on a BBQ and eating it felt like a very French/foreign experience.
