“Grey Whale in the bay”
Reviewed June 3, 2013

We went on a bay tour with Archie. He is verry experienced and because his catamerang is motorised we could cover the whole area, Guano platforms where we saw about 13 Dolphins having great fun around the Catamerang. On the way Cape seals, pelicans and various other sea birds joined us on the boat for a snack. We visited Pelican point where we saw a Grey Whale witch were lost and is not common to the area.We also saw Black Backed jacals on the beach. On the way back we went over verry shallow water about 1 meter of the Lagoonand saw jelly fish and other lagoon residents. Plenty Oysters with Champagne were served and we really enjoyed the day with Archie and Jackson who served us verry well!!!

Dear Mr Calitz
Thank you for your positive contribution to our TripAdvisor site.
The sight of the Gray Whale was indeed a very 'lucky' one, since marine biologists are still baffled by the fact that the whale appeared on our coast, way out of its normal route.
Thank you for your continued effort to promote our service to your friends and associates.
Sincerely
Laramon Tours Team

“Seal in the boat”
Reviewed March 16, 2013

This tour had been selected by our guide. It was a good choice. The sea was quite calm and the tour lasted 2 hours. A buffet was also included on the boat. But we were bound for a surprise. Indeed, few minutes after leaving the jetty, a seal jumped into the boat. The captain explained us that few seals are tamed to they used to jump in the boat where they are feed by the employees and the passenger. If you want to feed and touch a wild seal, this is the proper place. After being fully satisfied, he left the boat.
We saw thousands of seals but due to size of the boat, we could not approach them very near. It was enjoyable trip.

A wonderfull West coast marine experience with Laramon Tours! Lovely spacious and steady Catamaran with toilets on board! Jay!
We have been out on amazing Laramon cruises a few times with this friendly and able crew. We have seen abundant marine life, had good food(especially the local Oysters), and excellent Namibian “coffee“! Do yourself a favour and find out what “kind“ of coffee we are talking about here! Overall always a very nice cruise!

“Pelicans, Dolphins, Seals and Champagne”
Reviewed September 25, 2012

We took a morning tour of Walvis Bay. It was very enjoyable. Our captain and crew were very helpful and entertaining. As we left port, the fun began. Almost immediately, pelicans began following the boat. One actually landed on a guest's shoulders, much to his shock. It made for great photos. Seeing these huge birds so close was very interesting. The crew could actually tell them apart. When they called one by name, it flew onto the boat! All the while this was going on, dolphins were swimming by the boat. A seal that had been rescued by the crew when it was injured by a passing ship, jumped on board. He was fed some fish and left. After all this, we were fed with Walvis Bay Oysters, finger sandwiches and champagne or the soft drink of you choice. it was a morning well spent.

“An absolute must!!!”
Reviewed August 29, 2012

We could not have asked for a better day to end our honeymoon! When i read the article about the tour in the "Weg" magazine i told my hubby we need to go on this trip and there was no doubt that it was money well spent.
The crew were great...there at our very beck and call! The food and drink was top notch-especially the oysters! And we really appreciated the congrats and well wishes of our wedding celebrations.
The crew are very knowledgable about the wildlife in the area and what was so great was that the crew are working with about 5 seals which come up onto the boat and you are able to touch them.
This is a definate must do when visiting Walvis Bay. Thanx again for such a wonderful day.
