Food is fine. My wife always gets Jaegerschnitzel with a creamy mushroom gravy and I always have the goulash soup as a starter and then either the pork roast or the steak salad. Can be hard to get a booking as they are always busy. It's always fairly noisy and smoky with a lot of loud visiting German tourists.

Went there in the evening. The place was booked to the last chair, it was loud and the mood all around was very good. Not for those who love a civilized meal in quiet surroundings, but great for everyone who wants to experience real German "Kneipen"-Atmosphäre. The beer is excellent, the food is okay. Not really like in Germany, but they are trying.

Our waiter was very good, very efficient, quick and friendly. Yes, smoking is allowed - but since the place is rather big, it does not really put you off.

The Brauhaus is a new version of an old Swakopmund favourite,
the original being burnt down in a fire. Excellent food and drink
with a friendly, but firm service! The atmosphere is more German than in Germany and is both enjoyable and different. A popular spot with locals and particularly, German tourists, so book in advance, if you can. The menu is not designed for slimmers, being big and hearty in every respect. Well worth a visit at lunch or dinner time.

Didn't have reservations so hotel suggested Brauhaus. At first glance it appears to be mostly focused on beer--great beer selection it was too! However, do not underestimate the food. I had a fresh, line caught fish of the day that was THE best fish of my 3 week trip to Namibia as well as South Africa. In fact, we debated about returning the next night but had previously made plans.

Staff was friendly, prompt and courteous. Family friendly too.

This will be a definite stop next year on our return trip.

It was amazing to be in an authentic German Restaurant in Namibia. Our lunch was delicious. I love Wiener Schnitzel, and this meal did not disappoint. The portions were large and the service was great.
