We had a very nice dinner at Hansa Hotel, food is good, nice wines and a very pleasant setting. One of the better eatingplaces at Swakopmund and not that expensive.

“Lunch and Dinner”
Reviewed January 12, 2014

Fine dining at it's best in Namibia! We love eating at the Hansa. The food is always good and fresh and waiting staff are excellent. Many familiar faces year after year will welcome you back. The kitchen was fexable as I added/ tweaqed my dish a little. Ate herring both times as I do not get it served this way in B.C./Canada

“We're always glad after we've had dinner there...”
Reviewed December 1, 2013 via mobile

+ Atmosphere is elegant with hints of traditional German formality
+ Starters (Prawn/asparagus cocktail, Crayfish bisque) were better than expected and were very tasty
+ Mains (Steenbass special and pork fillets) were cooked to perfection with accompaniments very well prepared and portions were adequate
+ The staff are absolutely professional and attentive without being interfering
+ Chefs's complimentary gazpacho and sorbet between courses were a remarkably elegant touch - and they tasted great!
+ Complimentary birthday dessert (chocolate mousse with fruit) was unexpected, appreciated, and excellent - shared between the two of us
- Crayfish cocktail seemed to contain more pineapple than crayfish meat

“The best in town”
Reviewed November 10, 2013

Ok now I am not talking about there eavening menue. Im takling about saturday and sunday lunch time. they got something called Teller Essen (plate of food for the day) and was never disapointed.
It makes such difference if a propper chef prepared your food. and the service is so special as well. trained service cloth napkins and a classy setting makes this worth wile wile the food is the cheapest in town for lunch time. the portions are good well sized that if you realy want to squese that desert in there might just be a spot left somewhere.
