“Fantastic Little 5 tour!!”

One of the best tour we did in Namibia! The tour starts at 8am (they pick you up where you are staying in Swakopmund) and ends at 1pm. Everything is just great thanks to Chris (the boss) who loves and knows the Namib desert so well. He is very funny and entertaining and you really learn a lot about the 'muesli' of the desert and chain of life there. Thanks to him, we found "the little 5", took fantastic pictures and enjoyed the wonderful sceneries. At first you search the little 5 and got a lot of information from Chris. Afterwards they drive you in the dunes and stop here and there to take pictures and to enjoy the views. Don't miss it if you are in Swakopmund!!!!

Both us adults and our children were enthralled by Chris and his Living Desert tour in Swakopmund. He had a gift for fantastic and fun explanation and brimmed over with the joy of what he was showing. Am amazing man with a true passion for the dunes and the desert who communicates the wonders so well. DO NOT MISS THIS!

My wife and I are both big nature travellers and over the years have seen lots of fantastic nature and animals, but this tour was really something special. The Namib Desert is one of the main features of Namibia and this is THE way to experience it. You will have close encounters of the creature kind with sidewinder snakes, see-through gekos, amazing chameleons, White Lady Spiders, and a host of other fascinating denizens of the dunes that you could never experience on your own. Our tour guide, Chris, also is very interested in photography and took the time to help everyone get amazing close-up photos. Sure Etosha is great for all the big game, but frankly, pretty much the same can be seen in any of the famous African parks, but this was really extraordinary and despite being avid nature program viewers and book readers, we both learned a lot about this extraordinary ecosystem.

This tour is a must. Having spent time in Etosha it was time to be introduced to the sand dunes. To be honest I couldn't see how this could be a 5 hour tour and not be boring. We were doing it for the kids. What a surprise. Informative, interactive, some good photography tips. Good tracker - Dane found all the little creatures , even in the cold of winter. Thanks guys.

If you are ever in Namibia, I would highly recommend going for this tour. Our tour guide, Chris Nel was simply amazing. His passion for nature and the desert will flow through you, opening your eyes to some incredible happenings in the desert that you never knew existed!

Chris opens your eyes to many absolutely stunning and beautiful creatures that live in the desert, and being taught how to photograph these creatures is a definite added plus! He holds the creatures in the palm of his hand without fear and you are able to approach the creatures without hesitation.

There are no bathroom facilities and one has to use what is commonly known to the locals as the bush toilet when you need to go. So I'd highly recommend that you visit the bathroom in your hotel before heading out for this tour.

The road for the dunes will be rocky at times and Chris would inform us beforehand if he needed to accelerate much harder than usual to climb the dunes, so brace yourself! All in all, just a fantastic tour and I would gladly do it again.
