“Amazing Tour”
Reviewed May 31, 2012

What a fantastic tour. Chris and Douglas' knowledge and passion about the desert and the creatures that fill it was intoxicating. This is a must do whilst in Swakopmund and having spent the better part of a week there enjoying all the tourist attractions i assure you that this is the first thing you need to book. The wife and i are in our mid 20's but this tour would be suitable for anyone. The best photos of our African holiday came from this tour!

“The best of the Little 5 in Namibia”
Reviewed May 27, 2012

We didn't know what to expect of this tour, and we went on a number of guided day trips while in Namibia for a weeklong visit. This was hand's down, one of our favorite. Chris's enthusiasm, passion and knowledge of the creatures and living history inside Dorob National Park were infectious, and we all walked away with a shared excitement for "the little five" of the Namibian desert ecosystem.

“Amazing desert tour”
Reviewed April 28, 2012

Chris Nel's living desert tour is a must for everyone visiting Swakopmund! His passion and knowledge about the desert and its animals is enormous. In a few hours you learn more about desert life than you'd otherwise in months while. Chris knows how to make it entertaining and has a great sense of humour. At the same time he makes you aware of the negative sides of human intervention in this vulnerable environment. Go and experience it yourself!

“Great tour”
Reviewed January 5, 2012

The tour was extremely interesting and Chris's ability to spot the tiny life forms we were looking for was incredible. He seems very knowledgeable about just about anything to do with nature and always gave good answers to questions. The excitement he engendered in these little creatures was quite something, and he also knows the best way to photograph them! The rides across the dunes were fun too.

His talk about degradation of the desert was certainly necessary and sobering, though we felt he did go on a bit much about his own crusade in this respect. But that was just a mild irritation in an excellent and entertaining half-day out.

“Must do when in Swakop”
Reviewed January 5, 2012

This is a great way to get to know about the country and is an amazing journey, the tour is about discovering animal life in the Namib desert as well as the beautiful panorama...It was very windy up there and very therapeutic.
Chris and Doug are very knowledgeable. We enjoyed it and would do it again, cost us 600 namibian dollars each, which I found costly, but it was peak season. They provide water and some soft drinks.
