“great view, good food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 20, 2013

My husband and I have been debating whether to give this a 3 or 4. The location, view, service and comfort level all get at least a 4 - it's a very lovely place to stop for a nice meal.

The food runs from acceptable to good. He said the shrimp soup was very good and the swordfish quite nice. My salad and thin crust pizza were both a bit bland, but perfectly acceptable. Portions were generous. We paid about 50 euro for two starters, two mains and one coffee.

“Always a treat to eat here!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 1, 2013

Upstairs on the terrace overlooking the ramparts and the sea, its always an experience to eat here. Excellent fish in lots of guises, but other treats too. Well worth climbing the stairs, but expect haphazard (though very friendly) service.

“Looks better than it serves”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 5, 2012

This place is in a gorgeous setting overlooking the ocean. Warning - many stairs and not for the challenged. They are striving for a Southern European flavor for those who want something not strictly Moroccan; but not entirely successful.

Had two apps; spider crab based, and salmon tartar. Both mushy and ill defined. A shrimp/avocade salad in a light cream nutmeg sauce was decent. A good rabbit terrine for main. Companions had a whole fish. It was salt baked, a technique which is hard to get wrong, and it came out fine.

NB: Very little seafood was locally sourced. The salmon was "from Norway." The wine list gets very pricey very fast. The service is glacial. If you go, ask for the top floor and enjoy the view.

“The view is best observed during daylight!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 5, 2012

Set overlooking the fortress walls looking out to sea, we arrived a little too late to enjoy the view.
However the location is magnificent. The quality of the food was excellent as was the service. Please note that as this is a restaurant that serves alcohol, the prices reflect this. My wife had a Chicken Tajine and I had Couscous with Beef and thoroughly enjoyed it, we both followed this with an indulgent chocolate cake.
When we got there 7pm'ish the restaurant was fairly empty, but by the time we left it had started filling up, especially the outside and roof top area, so I recommend reserving a table or not being too late if you want to choose where to sit.
