“Lovely riad”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 19, 2013

We actually booked the place next door ,but at arrival were told that something went wrong ,but we can stay at Les terrasses for the same price.
And what a nice surprise! I think it was even better!
We got a room on the highest level ,with a window going out to the street ,but still very quiet and not smelly at all ( unfortunately the sewers in the streets were defect).
The owners and staff are very friendly and helpful. The very good breakfast gets served on the roof top terrace with a great view over the town. Say hi to the 2 tortoises crawling around and be aware of the sea gulls trying to steal food.
We had a sneaky look into other rooms and they seem to be all differently decorated - very lovely and traditional Moroccan.
Downstairs ,around the typical fountain ,you find the reception desk plus a library and seating area plus a spa (didn't have the time to go to it though).

Room Tip: Upper floor with window!

We stayed a total of five nights in this beautiful riad and enjoyed our stay greatly. Very friendly and helpful staff, nicely decorated, large and comfortable rooms and a attractive rooftop terrace to enjoy breakfast (with a big thanks to the ladies who carried our breakfast up four flights of stairs without any complaints) and a view of the bay and the surroundings!

Room Tip: We stayed in a very light, airy room (window in bedroom and bathroom) on the top floor (only one fli...

les Terrasses d'Essaouira was a very elegant riad in the centre of the old town. Beautifully dressed rooms, all slightly different. Helpful staff and the senior staff spoke English. Breakfast was served in whatever area of the riad we chose but after the first day we couldn't bring ourselves to expect the maid to carry the trays up four flights of stairs to the roof terrrace!

Room Tip: Rooms at the top are lighter. Some rooms have "outside" windows.

My husband and i received a groupon voucher for a few nights in this hotel as a gift. We didnt know what to expect as the website doesnt show the hotel fully. We had a pleasant surprise - the staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was light and lovely. We had an evening meal as part of the voucher - so much of fantastic food - tagines, couscous - yummy. Room was average, needed some more light but otherwise was clean and lovely. Location of the hotel was excellent, right in the middle of the old town, near souks and many restaurants.

Beautiful riad, centrally-situated in the middle of the Medina. Courtyard, calm and cosy. Very comfortable beds and perfectly cleaned rooms, decorated with good taste. Courteous, efficient and very helpful staff. Breakfast on the 4th floor terrace with panoramic view is a delight.
A perfect place to be for a relaxing weekend holiday.

Room Tip: Every room is different, but with the same first-class comfort. When the riad is not fully-booked, y...
