We had a wonderful few days in Sidi Kaouki at the Douare des Arganiers. It is a relaxing haven on a very very quiet beach resort on the coast. Apart from surfing, there's not much to do there apart from relax but it was a welcome break from the wonderful but crazy Marrakech. The locals are all incredibly friendly and the place we stayed in was wonderful. Tania and Ali are amazing hosts. Their rooms are like staying in an Alpine lodge. And it's just highly peaceful. They were hugely accomodating, recommending a wonderful if slightly randomly located restaurant called La muette et le dromadaire and offered to drive us to and from restaurants we wanted to visit at night as it is fairly remote part of the world. For a friendly taxi driver from Essouaira (for which we paid 100 Dirhams) email www.fasstaxi@gmail.com or call 06.64.96.38.39. Nice guy, careful driver and punctual.

We have spent 3 fantastic Christmas holidays at Dours des Arganiers and it has become our home from home. It is an oasis of comfort and peace 10 / 15 mins walk from the rugged beauty of Sidi Kaouki beach. You start the day with a comprehensive breakfast that you can linger over and then you can relax, or if you're feeling active you can go to the beach and surf, ride horses & camels, ride mountain bikes or go into Essaouira. Nothing is too much trouble for Tania & Ali to arrange. This is, without a doubt, the best place to stay in Sidi Kaouki, and I look forward to our next visit. Dec 13 /Jan 2014

We have been going here for the last few years, as my sister lives in Sidi Kauki, and we go every Xmas. It is the most wonderful place, and has to be one of our favourite locations in the world. The rooms are so comfortable and the location is outstanding. Tanya and Ali make it so relaxing and it is like being at home. My daughter Daisy loves it there, and never wants to come leave. The breakfasts are amazing. I thoroughly recommend it, you will not be disappointed.

Room Tip: All the rooms are good, but our favourite is the blue room s it faces the sun all day.

We stayed as a couple for 7 nights in the orange suite. Tania and Ali were wonderful hosts and provided us with a delicious breakfast each morning. There are only 3 suites within the house for guests which makes for a very quiet and peaceful atmosphere. The house is around a 10 minute stroll from the beach (although we were offered a ride down numerous times from Tania and Ali). The suites also have access to a large sitting area with books and games where Tania and Ali provide breakfast each morning. Tania and Ali have 'adopted' a number of beautiful cats who stroll around the house, occasionally trying to sneak in as well as a very friendly dog who welcomes you back into the grounds every time, rolling on her back demanding a rub on her belly!

Tania and Ali also looked after my pregnant girlfriend when feeling unwell one morning, bringing her breakfast in bed and a special Moroccan soothing drink to settle her stomach.

Sidi Kaouki is a very small, dispersed village with an extremely laid back quite vibe. I'd recommend the Blue Morocco surf camp for anybody interested in surfing or learning how to surf. There are a good number of very small cafes in which you can get a very reasonable lunch or dinner and a fairly regular bus service to Essaouria.

Le Douar des Arganiers is defiantly somewhere we'd like to come back to in the future. Thank you Tania and Ali

Beautiful bed and breakfast 10 minutes walk from the beach. Amazing huge rooms, each of them with a private terrace. Exceptional hosts who went out of their way to help us. The breafast was also nice.

We stayed for 3 nights and had a brilliant time. Tania welcomed us when we first arrived, she was so helpful throughout our stay with information and put on a tasty breakfast every morning. The room was incredible and the peace and quiet was a welcome retreat from Marrakech. The beach is a 10min walk and we always felt safe. Some good local food places on the beach front and also a couple of french guesthouses with brilliant food and wine! Had surf lessons, camel ride and the bus to essaouria is only 50p. We will be recommending it to our friends who are going next year!

Room Tip: We chose the room upstairs with it's own terrace which was perfect

We stayed 3 nights and it was a wonderful and relaxing stay. Tania is a wonderful hostess and makes you feel like her house is yours. The design of the house is environmentally sound with lots of personal touches. It is near a relaxed beach which is an easy walk into town. If you want a place to escape from Essaouria and the more crowded beaches there this is the place for you. The rooms are very comfortable and we had two delicious dinners and breakfasts. Tania was very helpful with assisting with whatever you need regarding places to go, directions, etc. We would be happy to stay there again.
