“Yummy!”
Reviewed February 21, 2013

The two of us popped in for some pasta (for a change) tonight, and enjoyed it very much! The food was really nicely prepared, the staff were quick and pleasant, the place was clean and felt friendly! Might not be your perfect restaurant in Essaouira, but great value (145MAD for two with drinks) for a simple and delicious meal! Tempted to go back again tomorrow!

“Surprisingly good!”
Reviewed February 20, 2013 via mobile

Very friendly staff, a limited selection of pastas and sides but what there is is done very well and it's a great alternative when you just can't eat any more tagine! The kitchen is open which I always like so I can see the cooking take place. I had a delicious Gorgonzola Penne and the Caprese salad was also tasty.

“expensive pasta”
Reviewed January 25, 2013

it's not home made paste, just packed. and the noodles are ok, but they're cheaper in italy. so I rather have a couscous or a tajine in a morocan place for less money.

Pavlinova, Manager at Pasta Baladin, responded to this review, January 26, 2013
Dear guests of Pasta Baladin
This comment does really surprises us:
We do serve more than 10 different HOMEMADE pasta dishes from Italy (our self produced pasta "Pastaio di Gragnano") for a very decent price: between 4 and 6 Euros ONLY per plate!
From simple "Napoli" (just tomato sauce with olives) to "Frutti di Mare" (mixed Seafood) and the salad "Caprese" or the desert "Tiramisu" is just 3 Euros - where can you get it CHEAPER than that? We don't believe in Europe/Italy... And if so you're very lucky if the quality is the same GOOD one:-) Have a try yourself - you won't be disappointed (see all the other Tripadvisor comments).
Anyway: we wish to everybody as always: BENVENUTI e BUON APPETITO al PASTA BALADIN!

“Perfect for when you are tiganed - out.”
Reviewed January 20, 2013

After a week in Morrocco, having sampled its legendary native cuisine every evening, I actually found the choice a bit monotonous in the budget restaurants, and I had a craving for some quality Eurpoean food. This place was recommended by some Moroccan travellers staying in our Riad, who cam back one evening raving about it. I was hungry, so we got ourselves round there straight away. All the pasta is home made and absolutely delicious, with some flavoursome freshly prepared sauces, in surroundings that complement the food, informal but smart. Main courses are a steal at around 5 Euros. Highly recommended.

“A nice pasta in Morocco”
Reviewed January 9, 2013

We went twice at Pasta Baladin, after a week of Tajine and Cuscus.
The location is very cool, and prices are correct. We had two pastas and some water for 110 Dirhams.
Pasta is nice compared to others we've tried abroad. A nice address in Essaouira!
