“Beautiful space”
Reviewed September 7, 2017 for a stay in August 2017

Beautiful & tranquil space inside the heart of the medina. Emma could not have been more helpful, she was always available, set up wonderful day trips, showed us around the medina and gave us excellent tips. This made a huge difference to our time in Essaouira.

Totally brilliant and couldn't recommend Dar Beida/ Emma more.

“A wonderfully relaxing week in the local culture”
Reviewed June 11, 2017 for a stay in May 2017

From the first contact, Emma could not have been more helpful. She recommended a few trips and experiences and booked my selctions in advance for me. They were all excellent - hammam, cookery course, trip to Jardin des douars.

Emma collected me from the airport, took me to the house, and walked me round the medina - highlighting the places to go.

The house is beautiful, and I took up the option to have dinner cooked and bought in by Amina, the housekeeper - it was glorious.

It was a thoroughly relaxing week. I can't recommend it highly enough to anyone wanting to experience the Moroccan way of life.

“Thirty Tenth Birthday Birthday 'Castle in the Sands'”
Reviewed June 5, 2017 for a stay in May 2017

I met Emma Wilson in 2015 when I cut her hair for the first time. I had come back from an epic trip in Jamaica after a month! I was inspired to set up a guest house in Jamaica. Inspired to create an authentic experience of Jamaica.

I feel it was no coincidence that I met Emma. Who
shared with me about her gorgeous guest house in Essaouira 'Castle in the Sands'. I snatched up her card and was like I'm going for sure!

So my for 'Thirty Tenth Birthday' I decide I want to have a party then fly out to Essaouira the next day!

With 7 close friends I had an incredible time at Emma's place. The villa is stunning. A real discovery
place in the heart of the Medina!
Emma organised everything! Making sure we were looked after by Fassi the singing taxi driver to Amina the superwoman house keeper and the best cook ever. We arrived at the villa to a
assortment of dishes catered for all dietary requirements from meat eater to vegan.

The activities where perfect from Quad biking, Hammam Spa, Relaxing time at a boutique hotel
where we had massages, gorgeous pool and a
endless supply of morrocan
barbequed food! Great places like the Vagabond was our regular spot for the obligatory champagne and amazing food. Fish of the day was always lush!

We met Mohamad who I might say is quite cute! He took us to his home on the most beautiful land about a 40min drive away. What an experience! Very rural right by the sea. Mohamad cooked us an incredible meal of fresh fish and chicken, gorgeous tomatoes salad and the lushes aubergine dish! Local red wine
was supplied which was so tasty!

We did the obligatory shopping in the markets and
made friends with the locals who were lovely. There is so much more to be said, but my review doesn't do any justice. I just think you need to actual go!

I had an incredible time and learnt loads about running a guest house from the hostess of the
mostess Ms Emma's Wilson!

Thank you Ms Wilson for making my birthday a
memeory NEVER to be forgot!

I will be back in October! So Emma keep the spot vacant for us!xxx

“Amazing villa!”
Reviewed May 15, 2017 for a stay in April 2017

An absolutely amazing villa, incredible architecture, gorgeous, unique and interesting spaces, beautifully furnished and decorated, spotless, roomy and beyond comfortable for 5 adults, with so many separate luxurious relaxation areas!
From the helpful assistance of Friday Father in transporting our cases and guiding us through the streets on our arrival very late at night, to the beautiful meal awaiting us, the daily cleaning, the recommendations and tour of the town by Emma, the day trips, the amazing beach day with Mohammed and his friend, the very authentic Souk tour-nothing was too much trouble and everything went according to plan!
I cannot thank Emma and Mohammed enough and I cannot recommend this place more highly!

“Fantastic accomodation coupled with great hospitality”
Reviewed May 6, 2017 for a stay in April 2017

Dar Beida served as the perfect retreat from the busy streets of Essaouira. Plenty of comfortable and spacious living areas with impressive interiors.

Emma gave us a great tour of the medina and helped to organise many worthwhile activities.

Cannot fault our time at Dar Beida, highly recommended.

I do not even know where to begin with describing how amazing our week long stay at Dar Beida was. From the moment we booked, Emma was instrumental in ensuring that we had the most incredible, relaxing and fascinating holiday in Essaouira. Dar Beida itself is in a league of its own - Emma's taste in interiors and design is extraordinary, and the place is so spacious (for five adults) and spotless.

We did lots of activities organised by Emma - day trips for BBQ lunches, a day trip to the beach and a Souk tour. All were fantastic, and felt very authentic. Dar Beida and Emma's service exceeded any expectations we could possibly have had. We will certainly return and have already recommended Dar Beida to all of our friends and family.

“Mystic holidays”
Reviewed January 19, 2017 for a stay in August 2016

We had a fantastic, authentic and mystic summer holiday and Dar Beida made it extra special.
Coming home from the beach or the busy Medina, Dar Beida felt like a cocoon where the time stood still. The house is beautifully decorated and suits young and old. My children loved playing hide and seek as the house has so many hidden spaces and niches to hide.
The house is well situated, in the middle
Of Essaouira 's busy Medina, where you have a chance to experience Moroccon lifestyle. It also is very close to the nearby taxi stand where you can easily get a cab for 50p to the beach if you can't be bothered to walk.
I highly recommend staying at Dar Beida as it will make your stay extra special!!
Emma is helpful and will always be there for you if the need should arise.
