My boyfriend and I loved our stay at Riad Remmy. Very comfortable rooms, traditional decor and an amazing host. Sandra was amazing, meeting us at the bus and accompanying us back to the riad, also sharing her invaluable map with recommendations of her favourite places to visit/eat in Essaouria. It made our trip all the more enjoyable. Fabulous location right in the centre of the Medina and walking distance from to just about everywhere. I would recommend this Riad to anyone, it was a sanctuary to escape to off the bustling main streets.

My friend and I were backpacking through Morocco and ended at the Gnaoua Festival in Essaouira, where we decided to treat ourselves to a "riad experience". We couldn't have asked for anything better than Riad Remmy. Contact before arrival was really good already - Sandra advised us on the best way to get to Essaouira from Marrakech, and since we had plans to go to Imsouane after Essaouira she told us all she knew about that as well. Upon arrival in Essaouira we were met by Sandra who walked us to the riad, which was very helpful as we doubt we would have easily found it ourselves the first time. The interior of Riad Remmy is really beautiful, lots of attention to detail, colourful but not cluttered, quite spacious and very clean. There are several lounge areas with musical instruments and books, and kitchens where drinks and snacks are available. Sandra gave us a map of the city on which she had marked all her favourite restaurants (which were many!) and she spent some time telling us more about each one so we'd have plenty to choose from. The riad also has a deal with one of the fresh seafood restaurants by the port, so that guests of the riad can go there for a big meal at a cheaper price, which was amazing! Breakfast in the riad was really good too - she prepared a personal tray for each room, with lots on it. Sandra herself is lovely and always up for a chat. We've stayed in good accommodation in other cities in Morocco but this was by far the best one, definitely recommend it!

We recently stayed with Sandra at Riad Remmy. There wasn't a room available for all 3 of us so our son got his own room right next door to us and the price was still less than we had paid for 1 room elsewhere. The rooms were very comfortable, clean and beautiful. Remmy is really well located and run well with good assistance and advice from Sandra, even though she was unwell for our stay. Our only slight negative was that there was no wifi and perhaps a slightly more English than Moroccan vibe.

Riad Remmy is a beautiful sanctuary situated in the walls of the Medina. Although it has a very traditional moroccan style it is also very stylish. It is very comfortable, relaxing and couldn't be more welcoming. On arrival we where met by Sandra who accompanied us with our luggage, once inside the Riad she was very catering i.e snacks, drinks! Sandra is full of wise wisdom about the ins & outs off Essaouira regarding places to visit, eat, drink & shop so don't hesitate to ask. I really enjoyed my first time in Morocco, it was a real cultural experience & i would deffo recommend it to my friends & family! Huge thank yo to Stu, Tracey, Remmy & San for making our holiday amazing

My husband and I visited Morocco as our treat for our 2 big birthdays this year. We started in Marrakech and stayed in a Riad in the Medina. Very nice but lacked atmosphere.
I couldn't wait to head to the coast and after a relaxing 2.5 hr drive we were met by Stu and Remmy. Straightaway I knew we had made the right choice. The Riad is beautiful and well designed, but the outstanding feature of this Riad is the warmth and helpfulness of Stu, Tracey, Sandra and little Remmy. We started with a guided tour of Essaouira hosted by Stu & Remmy, and where shown all the local hot and not spots, recommended the best beach bars, local fish grill and the fab italian icecream parlour. Sandra booked us a great restaurant for our celebration meal, Elizar which was perfect - highly recommend the beef! Essaouira is a beautiful, eclectic destination and Riad Remmy is a hidden gem

Room Tip: We had the double room on top floor, next to kitchen and good access to roof terrace. Perfect choice.
