Very cheap and basic, but you get what you pay for. Clean rooms, good location and very helpful and friendly staff. The hot water in the bathroom was a bit irregular though. Nice terrace to chill out.

We visit Essaouira alot and pound for pound this is the best place to stay.In the centre of town, the hotel is great value. The staff are always helpful and friendly and they have a roof terrace which gives great views.A couple of the rooms have terraces which are worth paying a little extra for.We like the terrace room where we are regularly joined by the local ginger moggy.Going back in a couple of weeks, can't wait.

Good little spot in the medina is Essaouria: clean, reasonably priced and well located - what more can you ask for? It is worth looking at the different rooms before you choose, we went for a bit more luxury and felt it was worth it. Nice breakfasts and friendly staff too!

Only planned heading to Essaouira two days before from Marrakech and this hotel was in our guide book. What a great place, emailed them and they had a room for us (only 220Dh - about £16-£17/night for two people) available. Big hotel with many rooms. These are very simple and some are for shared bathrooms but we did not mind this at all. If you want luxury at your hotel don't come here, but it is very near to the main square and street in Essaouira, a wonderful base and the staff are wonderfully friendly. Nice roof terrace to sit on, excellent breakfasts and for what we wanted it was perfect. If we go back to Essaouira will use this again.

Room Tip: You can ask for an ensuite room or shared if cheaper suits you better. Rooms quite small but perfectly adequate and clean and secure.

This place was recommended in our guide book and we were so glad to find it! We were in contact with the owner as we hadn't booked it and she was lovely and greeted us on arrival. She showed us serval options before we settled on the top floor which had its own personal terrace space. Rooms are adequate for us as we were only staying for two nights. Breakfast consisted of black olives, bread, soft cheese, fresh orange juice and tea and coffee. The hotel also kept our bags when we checked out so we cold explore the town a bit more before our bus back to marrakech. I would highly recommend this place if you are ever in the area.
