I used to stay here a lot in both the early and late 90s. It's little changed, some new furniture and it's been maintained reasonably well.
The rooms have en suite with good enough hot water. There are some fruit trees in the garden from which I have to admit I scrumped some lovely, sweet, yellow grapefruit one year!
It's conveniently located in Sharia Zerktouni, which is directly opposite the main gate to the Portuguese City, and which has plenty of shops, cafes and snacks, as well as the Souk Kedim. The nicest rooms are on the first floor in the block directly out of reception at the back.
It's a good budget option, better than most.
