“Fine dining in Belle Mare Plage”
Reviewed February 24, 2013 via mobile

We ventured beyond our half board package at the Belle Mare Plage hotel to experience a fine dining meal. The sense of occasion created by the setting and attentive but unobtrusive service was outstanding.
We particularly enjoyed the Gazpacho soup and the flexibility of the staff to create a sea bass fillet dish that was "off menu". The downside was the price - nearly £200 for two after the allowed meal supplement and including a decent bottle of South African Sauvignon Blanc which was near the bottom end of the wine list cost. The bill was considerably up-lifted by 2 brandies with coffee that cost nearly £50; of course all quoted prices are uplifted by 15% local VAT.

“Classy and relaxed dining”
Reviewed January 20, 2013 via mobile

Excellent dinner whilst being entertained by a trio playing a variety of Cajun music on stringed instruments. Service is a perfect accompaniment to a lovely menu including some fine foie gras followed by fresh local fish which reminded me of halibut.

“Remember tuesday is lobster day”
Reviewed February 21, 2012

Excellent restaurant, with a somelier very knowledgeable, he does not speak French. Food is excellent and some pasta dishes can be ordered as apetizer size which complete the experience in case you want to indulge yourself in a tasting spree. The consomme of crab with the raviole of lobster is a signature dish. The sea bass in the salt is also outstanding. The crepes make the dessert a right ending to a perfect meal. i will not list the other dishes but all what I tried was ... excellent
