In common with most other reviewers you cannot fault the beauty of the island,Maldives at its best.
The beaches and marine life are amazing and the resort is small and very personal with first class staff and cleanliness.
However the new owners have failed in terms of the standard of cuisine. At best I would regard the all inclusive quality of food as European three star. There was no evidence of any oriental influence and one could well imagine being in Italy with the dominance of pasta grilled vegetables and meats.
We certainly did not expect to see brussells, cauliflower and carrots on a daily basis.
There was evidence of penny pinching throughout the dining room that extended to the drinks with the only spirits available being of obscure origin and only drinkable masked in a cocktail,
House brands such as basic Smirnoff and Bacardi were designated as premium and therefore not available to all inclusive guests.
We dined in Spices as a part of the all inclusive package for one evening and the food presented to us was poor by any international standard.
It is only because of the poor catering standards that we would not return.
