I did spend a lot of time doing research on The Place to go for our honeymoon - as you may be thinking, its a once in a lifetime!. I Looked into the W Retreat, the Shangri-La, Conrad, Four Seasons, etc... A colleague recommended the Conrad, as he had been there, so I decided to trust him - he is a well travelled guy! The result: my wife and I had the most amazing honeymoon we could ever dream of.

The resort is truly beautiful and the quality of the accommodation outstanding. We were able to stay at the standard water villa, a superior and the SPA water villa. It really makes the difference to go for the upgrade. You get your own jacuzzi on the terrace and the difference in size is notable. In the SPA villas you get your own treatment room! The rooms are immaculate and the staff are truly friendly.

There are lots of restaurants: seafood, japanese, asian mixed, european, underwater, heathy-balanced, etc... all outstanding. Worth trying them all! Even if you stay at buffet level, you can enjoy european, indian, chinese, japanese and italian food - all nicely cooked!

Although there is nothing I could qualify as negative from this resort, there is minor matter: the prices of food and wine at the restaurants... But hey, you probably won't go there every year! So "why not"!?

The reef where the resort is located is very pretty. When you go off snorkeling you will be able to see all kinds of underwater life: turtles, sea rays, etc...

Enjoy it!

A truly stunning resort. We stayed here at at the end of Sept for our honeymoon for 5 nights and the only.complaint was that we had a couple of days of rain. Let the resort know if you are honeymooners as they give an impressive number of freebies, including champagne, $50 excursion each, a free dinner and a bath experience.

The food is amazing, although prices are.pretty high. Vilu and mandoo are excellent, along with cheese and wine room. One tip - mandoo serves free.sandwiches at lunch, and if you have a water villa - there are free drinks between 5-6pm at Vilu bar.

We did the b&b deal and noted that half/full board only allows you to eat in the atoll market- which is fine, but you are limited as its only buffet and the choice of restaraunts are extensive.

Service is the best I have had - they are all friendly and will do anything to make you comfortable.

The overwater spa is recommended - watching fish as you relax, although it.costs.about $250 for a couple.

Expect to spend around $300-400 per day, which includes a great dinner.everyday with wine and an activity.
The resort offers a lot more than just relaxation - with daily trips/activities (chargeable).

Overall, an excellent resort and we would definitely return.

Me and my wife stayed 7 nights at these fantastic two islands. Our expectations were high and they were all met. Excellent service, location and food. Our main reason for choosing this resort over some of the other luxury resorts was the selection of restaurants - 7-8 top class restaurants are available on the islands.

Highly recommended.......... but don't leave without a solid budget.

Truly the most perfect holiday we have ever had. This is very high end, but worth every dollar.

We stayed here earlier in the year.

A few comments:

1. Departure lounge was lovely.

2. Arrived: Room not available ; told to take a seat. 1 Hour later told a/c not working in the room so told to wait. 1 hour later got a bit fed up so gently complained to Island Host. (Resort half full). 3 hours after arrival got to an upgraded beach villa room so was worth it in the end but very chaotic for a Conrad and all a bit unprofessional.

3. Island Host was a waste of time; only seemed interested in us spending money and dissapeared for the entirety of our stay. No tip!

4. Villa lovely; Islands very pretty if not the prettiest we have stayed on in the Maldives.

5. Sundowner cruise a bit of a waste of time; staff not interactive and only coke / water to drink; not quite the Caribbean type!

6. Outrageously expensive food etc; captured market I guess.

7. Happy Hour; only one bar open and on the other island; wine or cocktail of the day only.

8. Getting ice or extra coffee etc in the room were non starters...never turned up.

9. Free Conrad branded merchandise turned out to be a memory stick with pictures on it.

Had a good time but had the constant feeling of being a bit ripped off all the time and was just not slick enough for a Conrad.

It was nice but I wouldn't rush back.

A week spent in bliss.

We booked a beach villa which was fabulous, but after a few nights were upgraded to a Spa overwater Villa which was just sublime.

For a complete “switch off” break which gave you the option should you want it to get involved in lots of activities you’d be hard pushed to find a better resort. We tried a few of the restaurants but found ourselves back in the Wine Bar more than once finding the cheese and wine tasting to be just fantastic as was the evening in the Wine Cellar with the resort's sommelier and a five-course meal (book in advance you don’t want to miss this… oh and don’t drink the sommelier’s wine by mistake like I did).

We didn’t eat at the underwater restaurant (which was something we really were looking forward to before getting to the hotel) as we found the quality of the food at the “Atoll Market” buffet to be outstanding but we did pop our head in and it looked every bit as good as the pictures suggest.

The deep see fishing was well organised and I’d recommend it.

Finally, as you’d expect the food and drink is not cheap but you’d not expect it to be. The “sports” room was the only poor aspect of the resort but we only found ourselves there on our last day while waiting for pick up.

Rangali islandis absolutely fantastic and I can only recommend it to any couple; scubadivers and honeymooners in particular.
Starting with the friendly reception and luxury lounge (with free massages) at the airport, the scenic flight in a twin otter waterplane, and the personal assistant who was even a young lady from Germany (where we also come from) through to perfect service, fantastic food, beautiful villas and stunning dives, this resort is recommendable to anyone who is willing to afford the price.
Our favorite restaurant was the mandoo spa restaurant.
