Do not rely on the Google Map location if you plan to walk from the bus. The hotel is about 1 km further along the road. Hotel staff have been alerted but are not interested in fixing this?

Overall the hotel is fine with small but fully appointed rooms. Although on a noisy road the windows have wooden shutters which block most of the noise.

The hotel is located about fifteen minutes walk from the centre of town. There are some eateries andva covenience store nearby.

It is not hard to find the hotel since it is located closer towards Batu Buruk (beach area) although I must caution that it is not actually within normal walking distance. Anyway, although we were looking forward to the many delicacies in Kg. Cina, we decided to stay in this hotel on the other side of town based on the strength of its reviews and here are our 2 cents worth.

Our room contained a double and a single bed which we found comfortable enough. Size-wise, it must be noted that it is rather tight for 2 adults and 2 toddlers. We have no complaints on the cleanliness and find the room child friendly enough. The bathroom is a decent size and shower was of satisfactory pressure. Channels on TV proved a disappointment for our toddler since the essential cartoon channels were not part of the package the hotel subscribed. However, do note that babycots and fridge are not available.

Though we stayed for 2 nights, we skipped the breakfast provided and are unable to provide a review. We were initially pleased with the guarded car park at the back of the hotel. Later when exiting in the afternoon, we had to navigate through many cars (other shop owners’) parked in an obstructive manner. In the end, we took a chance and parked in front of the hotel.

Overall, the hotel would appeal to couples with requirements of just a place to put up for a night or two. It does not function well as a family hotel and is located too far from central business district.

Hi all,

We actually wants to visit Redang Island. So for night staying we choose this hotel. The family room consists of 2double BED and 2 single bed with two bathroom. though its limited for 6 Adults, but as we are family of 6 Adult and 3 children they allowed us. The hotel is CLEAN and comfortable. Breakfast is shared with Ming Star Hotel.

Overall I think it is a good place for staying transit nights ... And off-course the rate is not that high. Specially for Family room.

Thank you

Room Tip: Family Rooms are quite Big and good.

I stayed for three consecutive nights, and I am quite satisfied with the overall quality of this hotel. The best part about it is of course, the bed. Most fluffy comforter/blanket I have ever felt in a hotel, with nice soft beds and pillow. I have the most comfortable sleep I ever had in a hotel. The staffs are friendly and there is a large parking space with security behind the hotel - entrance to the carpark is next to Mingstar Hotel which is at the end of the building.

Because of my unfixed schedule I had to check-out and check-in everyday, so I had the chance to try both Standard and Superior room (King size bed). Both room are basically the same, almost the same size, same type of fluffy comforter and bed, closet, both has all the extras - hot iron with the ironing board, hot water electric kettle, tea and coffee packs with two bottled water, praying mats, same desks and chair, same bed, satellite channel. The only differences are there's a better and bigger LCD TV and a window at the superior room (32" LCD at Superior and 21" Cheap LCD at standard room).

The bathroom is very nice, water pressure is strong, with centralized hot water system, and a nicely designed shower room.

There is free wifi, but it is slow and probably the only downside to this hotel.

Breakfast is included in the package but it is served at the Mingstar hotel restaurant. There is not much selection but the food are pretty good and quite tasty.

There are a few restaurants around the hotel, the best would be Uncle Chua Signature restaurant downstairs, just next door that serves cheap but very good quality food. There's also Secret Recipe and a few food stalls. Remember to avoid the food stall right across from the road in front of the hotel, we made a mistake by going there the first night... too expensive for food of that quality and service. There's also a 7-11 just across the road and a grocery store next to Uncle Chua.

I haven't had the chance to try the spa on the third floor - it did not operate at night, too bad since it was the only time we were back at the hotel, in need of relaxation after a whole day of working. My colleague did try the full body massage and they say it was pretty good.

I would definitely choose this hotel again if I ever went back to Kuala Terengganu.

Good place to stay for a couple of nights. Stayed in a Superior Plus room which was spacious and clean. It was nicely furnished and decorated. The room included tv with satellite programs, broadband and air con. Breakfast was at Ming Star Hotel, a few shops away. Good location and friendly staff. There are a few restaurants and mini markets/ convenience stores nearby. An affordable place to stay.

The hotel is fine for singles and couples but not families. It's perfect for a business traveller on a limited budget as rooms are functional and well-equipped. Female travellers will appreciate the in-house spa. The wifi works well and there is an excellent coffee shop next to reception. The management could improve matters by offering the complimentary breakfast in the coffee shop rather than in the less salubrious adjacent sister hotel (the Ming Star).

Room Tip: It is well worth paying extra for a superior room rather than going for the only slightly cheaper st...
