“resort hotel with a view of the marina”
Reviewed June 20, 2014

The hotel is beautifully located by the marina close to where the monsoon cup is held annually. The main building/restaurant has a gorgeous view of the marina. The garden was beautifuly landscaped and the wooden chalets were very well located. However, the chalets looked a bit dated inside and needed some maintenance. The room service was very good and the respond time was very fast. There was welcome fruit basket in our room. The buggy service to transfer guests from car park to the chalets were very useful. staff were friendly and the food at the restaurant was not bad and value for money. Overall we had a good time staying there.

As usual 4 of us on School holiday book a suite family room. Upon check-in our request had been upgraded to royal suite.. WOW!!! We spent 4d3n with all the best facilities and enjoy the staying there. This place is where Monsoon Cup is hosted every November each year. We feel honoured to stay at royal suite and thanks again to the management. Only word of advice is that they must pun on more "smile :-) " at the lobby..

A luxury resort styled hotel located at a remote area on an island which is not too close to the city centre. So this hotel is very peaceful and quiet during night time even board daylight. Hotel's restaurant is facing east, river mouth of Terangganu River and the city's waterfront which offer great views day and night.

Stayed at Deluxe room. Room size consider big with great amenities. But the problem is the room is facing west which will welcome sunset everyday and the room getting hot till night even the air-con is running 24 hours non-stop. During night time, there may have some bugs flying around.

Although, room is located far away from lobby but which had been mitigated by buggy service as no other vehicles are allowed at the chalet area. Staff service is a little passive and can be more proactive.

The food served during breakfast is excellent which include local traditional dishes (nasi dagang) and daily changed of Malaysian food and western food.

The resort looks like never renovated after opened for business since 2005. As the main entrance of my chalet is missing and the lighting outside my room and staircase are both broken and never replaced during my stay.

The place was quite far from all interesting places. But the hotel was quite interesting. There's a nearby eatery which overlook the Kuala Terengganu town.

I don't feel welcome during my check in. They should have improve their PR. The distance between the lobby & the rooms was quite far from each other. We park the car at the roundabout which was quite close the room. There's a buggy service to the room but alas. There's movie room at the lobby which have specific movie & time. However, they should offer updated movies especially for the kids on school holiday.

Overall the room was nice & spacious. However, the only disappointment was the bed was very small. Deluxe room only have 2 single bed. Not super single. For the room that are quite big they should have put in super single bed or even 2 double bed. The bathroom was spacious with its own shower & bathtub. We have our own balcony to relax. Surprise to know there's mosquito in the room.

My kids enjoyed the playground area. During check out i need to wait up to 15minutes just for my turn. The reception was busy entertaining other quest complain. They should have let me check out 1st & not keep me waiting.

Pro's : Spacious hotel compound. Kids love the playground
Con's : Mosquito in the room.

Do not expect warm welcome by the staff. They all look lazy and tired.
Sign board to hotel is not shown. Was lost on the way.
No signage of lobby location too.
You need to walk up a floor to lobby.
The swimming pool is poorly maintain!!! Around evening unusual crowd is shown. The adultsssss n kidsssssssss are occupying the pool with clothes on. The pool size is not big too. i doubt they stay here as i saw a lot of cars during their swimming time but those cars are not around except tat time.
As a hotel guest, i need to adjust my timing to enjoy the swimming pool under hot sun at 11am. @....@''
The swimming pool handle is broken and weird noises appear when u using it. The water is dirty.
Becareful when u walking around the pool. The wooden floor is not stable.
The breakfast variety is very limited. The refill frequency is super slow.
There are stain on the bedsheet.
I also saw ants, stainsss, hair and dirt all over the bath tub and toilet.
Housekeepin need serious improvement.
Sleepin quality also disturb by the mosquitossssss all day long and loud prayer noise in the early of the morning.

Ok its a Resort. Nice big chalets, big compounds, very nice lanscaping, sea facing, big open restaurant, very windy and great for couples.
But to go to the main building, where the Cafe , Reception, Ballroom etc are situated, you either WALK ( nearest chalet is 300m) or call for a Buggy.
But the Buggy service is fast, provided not many guests stay in.
They're lots of stairs to climb, and their signages are bad.
Food is fantastic, restaurant service is good. The staff are Ok.
Definitely the most expensive hotel in kuala terengganu.
If you have small children, i would recommend Primula Hotel. ( my first choice in Kuala Terengganu)

Stayed there in early Dec 2013 during this monsoon season... Been here before... for work at Batu rakit.
Very windy and occasional shower/downpour.
Arrived with hotel's shuttle from airport (approx. 15-25 mins) - friendly driver.
Check in was slow though..
Room on upper flow was OK. sound proofing still not there.
Some of the blinds not properly shut and exposed me to the people outside.
Pool was closed due to some "security" reason.
Room-service Food was nice though!
Buggy shuttle was OK but sometimes they use van to enter the small road to the chalet. but that damages the roadside trees - not good!
Breakfast food was plenty but limited. Cold juice was only one choice.
And... don't be surprise when you hear scratching sound on the chalet wall or roof during the windy time on the top floor... it's the tree branches!

Room Tip: take upper floor closed to the car park area or pool area.
