Its end of Ramadaan and had family gathering in Dungun.

We decided to have some fun at the swimming pool. Within couple of hours, one of the staff told us that there was a complaint that we were noisy.

It was not mid-night, it was mid-day. It was about noon.

We were also asked to evacuate the pool.

We had good impression on the resort at first entrance but customer relations made it change quickly and we were packing up to leave.
It was my first experience being asked to evacuate the pool because another customer complained.

I believe, staff should have given option to the complaining customer if they are okay to move to other units which are located further away from the swimming pool.

We were humiliated, upset and left the resort immediately.

Room Tip: Hotel do not have sound barrier walls or use sound proofing materials on the windows and doors. If y...

Nice resort with well-equipped and spacy rooms. However, the outdoor spa is rather overrated as it is too small for long bodies and the folding doors out to “garden” (2 square meters) cannot be opened in most apartments. The pool area is nice but also rather small and without much shadow. The personnel were friendly and helpful, although communication was difficult due to poor English skills among the employees. The resort was empty during Ramadan which made our stay a bit boring. The Ramadan dinner in the evening was, however, well visited by the local people. The Ramadan buffet was sumptuous and delicious and a great experience. Other meals, like breakfast, lunch, snacks and ice cream, were quite standard but tasteful and well prepared with fresh fruits and vegetables. Only breakfast was maybe a bit too basic. The location of the resort is rural without public transportation nearby. Most attractions are more than one hour’s drive away such as turtle egg lay watching, firefly river cruise, crystal mosque, waterfalls etc. Especially, the turtle and the firefly tours were great. However, the arrangement of the tours via the hotel turned out to be a challenge due to communication difficulties. We were not able to identify any other tour provider in the area. Guests are not advised to swim at the beach nearby the resort due to the deep slope and unexpected current at any season. There is a beautiful beach about 10 minutes drive from the resort called Teluk Bidara Beach. Also here swimming is not recommended. But the slope was less steep and we took the chance to take a swim in the sea. We felt quite safe as long as we stayed close to the beach. Like all other places, the beach was empty during Ramadan, and there was no possibility to buy any water or any other refreshments when we stayed at the beach. The hotel taxi driver was though very helpful and organized a few sandwiches and some water from a town nearby.

Friendly staff with clean and spacious room. Hotel staff always have smiles on their face, it make our day brighter. Hotel room is spacious and clean but the toilet door lock is not working, cannot lock the toilet door. The private Jacuzzi in the bathroom is nice but we need to switch it on at outside the bathroom which is quite troublesm. Hotel swimming pool is clean. Breakfast do not have much variety with only local food and some cereal and bread as continental.
So overview hotel is quite good and satisfied but their beach is really speechless, beach with tonne of rubbish, i will suggest hotel should at least clean the beach in front of the hotel.

We spent 1 night here and were totally charmed by this little gem of a place. Check in was smooth and friendly. We inquired about activities to do nearby and they promptly made bookings with a local guide for turtles watching. Accommodation is a lovely cluster of villas. Basic and clean. Bathrooms also clean - didn't get a chance to use the Jacuzzi tub though! Kids enjoyed the pool and you have the beach across the small street.

Breakfast was a choice of local fare - tasty nasi lemak , mee hoon & Malay cakes and continental such as cereal, toast & fresh cut fruits. I thought it was just nice. Apparently it is quite a popular with the locals for dinner - restaurant offers western fare of pasta, steak & salmon.

I liked how the staff addressed you by your name! Personal touch! Overall, I would recommend this charming place to everyone!

Having stayed in Thailand resorts/hotels on many occasions, I have high expectations on quality of service and cleanliness of hotel rooms. By Malaysian standards and with the rate we are paying (about RM250), this hotel is very good. But here are the complaints on the room.
1. The kettle has water left over by previous guest and the heater element is rusty.
2. the roof above the room is very hot and if you return to your room in the afternoon, it will take >30 mins before you can feel the cool air-conditioners air. The ceiling insulation not working.
For receptions and services, it is very good. Breakfast is just so-so. Asked for a bull-eye egg but was given omelet.

Our first trip to Dungun and we were told that it was dangerous to swim in the sea here, but we had promised the toddlers with us that we would be taking them swimming. This was one of only two places in the area that had a swimming pool.

It is a charming place with chalet style rooms. The rooms even had a jacuzzi in the bathroom.

The staff were friendly and service was also good.
