“Nice place”
Reviewed November 21, 2013

Large terrace to accomodate business or friends groups. This was my 4th experience there, and maybe the best so far.
The staff provided a good service and recommendations too.
Food was good (salt and pepper prawns are great!) with a wide variety of seafood, fish and meats. We had the fried grouper and a plate of venaison with onions and chili that was excellent.
Nice fried rice and to finish, some fresh fruits.
A good meal.

“Still one of the best, prices are inflation adjusted”
Reviewed October 27, 2013

Been patronising SSR for last 10 years. Usually we will organise 1 or 2 dinners among close friends annually here. We ordered cheese prawn (RM68), fried squid (RM43), vegetables & bean curd (RM66), sea grouper (RM140), sri lankan crab (RM116). with drinks and dessert the total bill came to (RM600) for 6 persons (with no beers/wine). The price is on the high side, but it commensurate with the quality of dishes and cooking styles. Environment is pleasant and safe (with armed guards), service is good. They have good selection of wines.

“Fairly tasty but pricey”
Reviewed September 23, 2013

Been here a few times and always found the food good but pricey. Most recent outing was this past weekend. Food presentation was average. Freshness of the seafood was, as usual, good. However, we felt that some of the items were overly pricey. The recent renovations to the main entrance area make for easier access to the dining area. Will return but not so soon.

“..Expensive fish, tiny portions and everything is pricey...”
Reviewed September 8, 2013

..i could kick myself yet again for stepping into this joint...

...food is expensive and really priced to the max...for a fish it can easily cost you more than RM100...the last time we had grouper it was overcooked and mushy...this time we had "patin" and it was equally disastrous and came to RM88...and when we ask what fish is available they keep saying the same rubbish over and over.."grouper,patin and another "ikan buluh"..everything pricey to the max.!!..butter prawns one plate was staggering RM45 and only 8 pieces...

..be careful as if they see a large crowd they will try to hike up everything and chuck the biggest fish unto you and expect you to pay what you put before us.We had a plate o SUPERSWEET fruit laced with maybe SUGAR,unitl even our guests were shocked!! cost RM35 for that..awfully shocking..this isn't really a place to entertain guests, even for ambience sake its really noisy and the "twin propeller planes" make horrible noise over the runaway and we have to observe a moment of silence for it to fly off!!...

..when it does fly off,the crowd there makes all that noise..

...swear this is the last time am gonna set foot ever here...overpriced,poor quality of food, overrated!!!

TIP:don't even bother asking for any fish!any type!
