It is a very nice hotel with clean rooms, air con, TV, wifi, a nice glass shower room...Very reasonable price even for people travelling on a budget. Breakfast included, but very poor Western breakfast, but after all you are in Malaysia so....
It is far from the city, but actually you are half way between the city and the airport. So if you have just a couple of days you could take the train to the city center and spent a full day there and come back for a goodnight sleep, and go the next morning to the airport.
I also went to the swimming pool 10 minutes away by feet. A nice and big swimming pool with 3 pools.
The big mall at the corner has plenty of food choices.

If you don't care too much about hotel amenities, food and facilities, and what the most important to you is quality sleep, comfortable bed, clean and well equipped bathroom, this hotel is for you. With reasonable room rate with breakfast, i booked this hotel online. Located quite far from city centre, definitely you need a car to move around. The good thing is the hotel located close to tesco hypermarket. So you can get the taxi there. Please choose the room with window to get some view. The bed was comfortable enough. The room was equipped with lcd tv (no cable tv channel) and mini refrigerator with simple furniture. Aircond was good. The hotel has the elevator, cafe and open parking lots. I,m dissappointed with the breakfast, so don't expect anything special from the breakfast. The lobby was simple but some how look nice. Overall this hotel was good

the hotel was clean and cozy, although located in a secluded area. All in all I was satisfied with the place. But too bad, at the last night, I lost my jeans that I hung behind the door. When I asked the receptionist, they don't seem to really care about it. They just said that they had no Idea. and That's it....no apology...no explanation.

Stayed here over the weekend for one night. Hotel is located near Shah Alam's city centre (about 5-10 mins drive). Shah Alam is a very subdued, suburban district near Kuala Lumpur, and it does reflect the area around the hotel as well which consists of mainly residential areas.

What I Love:

1) Clean - The toilet and room is CLEAN and i LOVE it... 'nuff said. I hope they maintain the cleanliness. Kudos to whoever is "quality-checking" and maintaining the cleanliness of the hotel and hotel rooms.

2) Modern Furnishings - The bed is comfortable, the room is modern - and the flooring is covered in laminate which is easy to clean and gives your feet that luxurious feel when you move around the room, as opposed to dirty carpets and cold ceramic tiles. For a budget hotel, this is very impressive.

3) Well-maintained - Granted; its only a year old but the rooms, furnishings, bathrooms looks spanking new, and squeaky clean and I must say that i am very impressed by this.

What I Don't Quite Fancy:

1) Location - Not very prime and far when walking out to the main road / civilisation. Its in some obscure lane that it is easily missed if you take the wrong turn. You need a car to move and flagging down a taxi is a hopeless cause. Plus point is that its a stone's throw away from the Tesco Hypermart - which has a food court and some shops.

2) Breakfast - Food is cold, lacked variety, and tasted horrible.

3) Water Pressure - In the morning, the water pressure is really "water-cooler quantity" low. And when i asked the staff for help, it was acknowledged but no action was done to increase the pressure, which was disappointing.

4) Staff lack of knowledge - I asked for directions to two different areas in the district of shah alam but none of the staff knew where the places were and how to get there, which can be frustrating if you are a first-timer in that area.

I'm probably asking for too much since its a cheap budget hotel. I am very very happy with its cleanliness and modern rooms, but feedback on water pressure and some knowledge about the area around isn't asking for too much either.

Good, comfortable stay for a couple of nights stay-over or quick business. Not sure about longer term though - might be a tad too boring for some.

Room Tip: Choose a room with window (basically Deluxe and above) for a mere few RM more. The ones without the...

From the outside Alami Garden Hotel doesn't look special. However the rooms are really modern and clean. The beds are comfortable and the bathroom is perfect with a big showerhead. The hotel is not very central located but with a short taxi ride you'll be at the place you need to be. The breakfast is a bit scanty but at least there is some toast for the ones who don't like an Asian breakfast. A good hotel which I would like to recommend.
