Needed a hotel near the Airport LCCT. When I checked on line this one came up as well as a few others. This one came up mid priced of the bunch but is not worth half the cost. A very Dirty neighborhood, Many free services offered turned out to cost extra. Musty Smell my wife did not like. Buffet with one 1 person eating there and very limited choices.

It will not get a return visit at any cost

We booked the hotel for a transit stopover.

The hotel advertised an airport transfer - but beware - it is not what it seems.

We tried to arrange a transfer for our arrival, but we did not receive a confirmation. As it turned out our arrival flight was delayed 6 hours (and 7.30am became 1.30am) and were not surprised to find no one waiting. We caught a taxi (50 ringett) and the trip took about 20 minutes - longer than advertised!

When we arrived a the hotel we tried to arrange a return transfer, but were told the hotel did not offer this service. Instead they could book us a taxi - for 60 ringett!! Given the time and an early departure we reluctantly agreed! The "taxi" turned out to be the hotel's ageing minibus. A rip off!

On the positive side the hotel did have 24 hour reception (which was handy), and the room was large, clean and comfortable. The only downside was a poor quality TV picture and the smell from smokers in the corridors (we had requested non-smoking).

Breakfast was available from 5.30am - which was good - but the food itself was limited and (some dim sims aside) rather average. Reception was courteous and professional, but not overly friendly.

Room Tip: Arrange your own Airport Transfers - or choose a hotel that offers a reasonable transfer service.

We booked this hotel as a 1 night stop over between flights. The hotel is dated and shabby and stinky. For the $80 we were charged we expected it to be a little bit better. The staff were really unhelpful and looked like they hated working there.
The room are really old and they were not able to arrange any kind of bed for the baby.
The pool looked fine but was full of a school group and so we couldn't swim.
We were not offered any kind of wifi and were afraid to ask.
I bought milk for the kids to drink and then realized there was no fridge.

We made an excellent decision not to eat the overpriced hotel food and instead went out into the next street. wonderful local food at a great price.
I would not stay here again, I would rather make the taxi trip into KL where $80 buys you a fantastic room,
It is not actually that close to the airport and takes about 25 mins in a taxi.

Room Tip: There are no good rooms, they all stink like smoke and are noisy.

Arrived at KLIA airport very late and thought that transfer was included but it was NOT. Had to take a taxi there (60 ringit I think). Not a very nice room, but have seen worse. Good wifi! Pretty nice staff. Very poor breakfast. They drove us to the train (so we could go to KL) for 15 ringit.

Malaysia airlines organized a one night stay for us.

Check in was quick and easy, the room was nothing special, but, the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was clean - good shower pressure. The windows opened up and in the morning the almost hypnotic sound from the call to prayer could be heard from the near by mosque, which was cool.

Unfortunately the meals were terrible here! Especially for the price. The satay chicken (if it was chicken) was tiny and dry!

There is a gym across the road and a few small shops.

I would not choose to stay here in the future.

We once again stayed at the Empress for the Moto GP weekend. Although the hotel is in a area where there is not a great deal to do, we stay there because its close to the track, the rooms are clean and comfortable, the staff are friendly and the rates are great. Next year we'll be back again to enjoy the hotels hospitality, location and prices.

Room Tip: Great value for a basic room.
