Went there for the Malaysian F1 GP. I was extremely impressed with the streamlining of the transport facilities. Absolutely meticulous until the last mile. Slow due to the traffic (which is expected) but efficient. The toilets were well maintained. The food was decent. Small quantities though.

Absolute festive atmosphere. There was a autograph session with the drivers but you need to be there early to get lucky.Be prepared for a small trek if you are seating in the hillstands. At this time of the year, the lack of breeze will slowly sap your life away. Carry a handfan.

We visited Malaysia to attend the Sepang MotoGP in 2011, purchased tickets for K1 grandstand. Fortunately got there early and got great seats at the front, because it was PACKED by the time we left. Really struggled to find food anywhere on the circuit, the stalls near us had sold out of bottled drinking water and food by 1pm. We were lucky to have ignored signs forbidding food to be bought some water and snacks from outside or my two small children and diabetic husband would have had serious issues at this venue. There was NO audio in our area (despite huge speakers nearby) so we had no idea what was going on at all through the racing. The big screen was set so far back we struggled to read it through binoculars. This was the unfortunate year that a racer lost his life during the event. We had NO idea what was happening or that the race had been cancelled due to the lack of audio. The crowd became very rowdy in the 35 degree heat after waiting more than an hour after the race stopped suddenly. It was only thanks to phone calls from concerned friends at home in Australia that allowed us to get out before the main crowd exited. Once outside the venue we were informed no drivers were allowed on the venue and we had to cross a multi lane highway to reach our driver. I would be very apprehensive about returning to this venue, particularly with children. Our kids have attended Phillip Island MotoGP regularly with no problems, but this venue was VERY ill equipped with food, water, screens or audio.

Main thing I dislike is you are not allowed to take in own food and drinks, and bags are searched on entry and such items are confiscated. Considering the heat I think it is bad that you are not allowed even a water bottle.

Great circuit. Tickets were not as cheap as Nurburgring but the grandstand is better and you can use cash to get food, drinks and merchandise. Although tickets are still better value than Silverstone, of course.

We caught the local bus fromair-port for $5 per person return. It was an easy journey and the bus was clean. The queue to get on the bus back was long but there was no pushing.

Bring your own food and drinks if you can. A magnum ice cream was $4, ouch!

Its a wonderful experience...............

First time go-karting and I must say: it was fun! The circuit is big and quite challenging at times. The briefing given prior the race was well explained. They could though sell cold drinks and snacks there (the fridge was empty). Overall a good experience.
