We have stay one night for a stop over after a long trip. We wanted to stay at a hotel near the airport so that we can catch the early flight next morning. Pumah Putih is just around half an hour away from the airport with easy transportation. James is a very nice man and he told us everything we need. Everything worked fine there.
The place is so spacious, so clean, so comfortable, we had the best stay there in Kuala Lumpur so far.
We had searched for many different hotel around the airport area but this one is definitely the best choice you can find. Especially for family with kids, definitely the place for you.
Good price for a stop over stay, or a few days relaxation away from Kuala Lumpur city center. Highly recommended!!

great location not far from KLIA and LCCT airport
James and Jo are great at picking up people from the local coach/train station and running them back there....they are also wonderfully relaxed and friendly people (their b&B is a very chilled place)
house is lovely, spotlessly clean
there's a pool to cool off in as well - big enough to go for a dip and swim
there are a number of shops and restaurants that are a short walk away from the house - you can get breakfast, lunch, dinner and all types of snacks
you get a basic continental breakfast and if you fancy a cooked breakfast
its been interesting spending time here seeing how 'real' people live - central KL is very touristy for obvious reasons...being a little further out life is just a little more relaxed
I would definatley stay here again - i'd make it a point to ask for a room upstairs this time round as you can hear people coming down for breakfast in the morning and people talking if they are in the lounge area
if you want to be close to the airport(s), want to stay somewhere that is chilled, relaxed and very very quiet - i'd strongly recommend staying here

Wow, what a find. James and his wife Jo have found a great niche market: travelers looking to escape the limited KL airport hotel options. This place is a homestay with 6 well-appointed rooms. The building itself seems brand new with top fixtures and nice decorations.

We relaxed by the pool and unwound from our long day of bus travel. We met another nice couple from Holland who were also staying there and chatted with them for a while. This place seems to attract like-minded people who are tired of boring hotel chains and want a more personal lodging experience.

As other reviewers mentioned, James met us at the Salak Tinggi train station and then dropped us off the next day (at 5am!) so we could catch our early flight. The house is within a safe neighborhood and we went walking at night down the street to the local restaurant. There was an ATM, 7-11, and pharmacy there as well.

Due to our early departure, James and his wife packed us a simple lunch which we thought was very kind. Oh yeah, and the rain shower in our huge bathroom was awesome as well as the memory stick of movies available on the flat screen TV in our room. The wifi worked well and James even offered to print out our boarding passes for us.

The only negative thing that can be said is the price: we found Rumah Putih to be slightly more expensive than other comparable homestays in Malaysia. But that wouldn't deter us from staying there again in the future. Given the other lodging options near the airport, at this moment in time, it's impossible to find anything better.
