I have been here twice, love the burgers, super juicy and I like that you can decide what goes in your burger. Tiny problem for me is my lunch break is always almost tea time and the place is close so waiting until their evening opening which is also at peak traffic time often prevents visits.

Came with my girlfriend and we had Ultraman burger. After hearing so many good things about it, we were really excited to try it out as she really loves anything with salted egg in it. But alas, it was quite a disappointment, the patty was a tad too soft and the amount of salted egg they put in the burger was too little. Silver linings, the chicken was juicy and cooked really well. For a premium price of 19 ringgit, the fries were a bit too little and the burger is simply not worth it.

Had the occasion to drop by for a take-out Tuesday evening just before 6.30pm at the neighborhood Seapark outlet. As usual, with mutterings under my breath for the lack of parking facilities, the bright smiling faces of the staff simmered down my irritation.

Downstairs, the seats were nearly all taken, typically everybody is staring into their smartphone screens, scared of missing out, rather than being busy. Nobody converses, not families, not couples.

There was no queue at the counter, early evening, yet it took the crew 25 minutes to make my order. Ahh... the struggles of an "accepted" (rather than "established") food outlet to remain relevant. Undoubtedly when they first opened, it was quite a fresh concept, what with the charcoal bun and "home-made" chunky patties, the younger adults swarmed in response. Fittingly so, it was awesome food and brilliant service.

Then Killer Gourmet Burger came onto the scene. The bar was raised, positive and healthy competition, consumer benefits, everybody's happy.

I believe now is the time for new entrants to come in. Maybe In-N-Out, Tommy's or Father's Office opens up their franchise here or even, the owners of myBurger Lab and KGB opens up a new concept each, each with a different brand name obviously.

For my family and I, this outlet has become the new normal, wouldn't venture out to claim that its the best burger in town, its okay, and its better than the run of the mill and formulaic McD, KFC, BurgerKing etc to name but a few. For the owners of myBurger Lab, better keep rotating the menu and keep it fresh, lest it becomes predictable and formulaic.

So, yes, go and check out myBurger Lab if you hadn't done so, the crowd is welcoming, service is fantastic, the place is clean, but there's NO more free water as before whilst you wait for your order.

From the time I came in, I was greeted with a warm welcome and special shout out to Rajput at the counter and Alex the cook who detailed to me the items I ordered giving me a proper elaboration of the foods served and ingredients used. Great bants as well from them.

As for the food, although one would say slightly pricy (RM36 for a burger combo set) but the food was sooooo good. Would deffers recommend The Juicy Lucy and The Hangover (A unique burger with Maple Syrup!) Would definitely go again. Only concern would be parking is a bit tough in the area.

5/5
