“Great Dim Sum at good value”
Reviewed July 15, 2012

Had breakfast at their newest branch in Kota Damansara. Was there early at 7:30am so no crowd as yet but it filled up fast! The dim sum was fresh, delicious and plentiful and the service fast and good. We had the usual staples like siew mai, har kow, char siew pau. lor mai fan and chee cheong fun. My wife especially liked the custard bun which was filled with piping hot, creamy, yellow egg custard. Will definitely come back for lunch next!

“Comfy & Tasty!”
Reviewed April 23, 2012

They have a good varieties of choices from steamed to fried. My thumbs up for their scallop shrimp dim sum and Har Gao. If you're driving here, I would very much recommend the same restaurant in Kota Damansara due to parking difficulties.

“Average quality but expensive dim sum”
Reviewed April 14, 2012

This is a very popular dim sum restaurant in Petaling Jaya, particularly during weekend, long queue, and i don't understand why. Yes, they serve a wide variety of dim sum, but taste wise just average, yet bit more pricy compare to other dim sum outlets in Petaling Jaya! My favorite is the durian roll!

“Delightful dim sum”
Reviewed February 27, 2012

Look no further. Restaurant Jin Xuan Hong Kong has some of the best dim sum in town.

Here's a place I would order my favourite 'siew mai', steam fishball, and 'char siew' bun. You will struggle to find a better 'siew mai' anywhere. In fact, most of their steamed and fried dim sum were delicious. Besides traditional dim sum, they also serve their popular custard buns, egg tarts, 'chu cheong fun' and carrot cakes. The average bill I would normally pay for was just above RM50 for 2 person, which was slightly above average. However, that's good value for some of the yummiest dim sum in town.

Service was generally fast. It's normally faster on weekdays, as weekends can be crowded with starving patrons. If there isn't an available table, you will be given a queue number. Waiting time depends on the queue, normally between 10-15 mins. The only downside was that they employed foreign workers, mostly who struggled to communicate well with patrons. Fortunately they have locals moving around the restaurant to ensure that miscommunication was minimized.

Ample car park space were available most of the time, so that should be taken care of.

I believe they have 3 branches in KL/PJ, but the one I frequent most is located at Damansara Jaya (nearby The Atria).
