“Great South African Cuisine”
Reviewed July 30, 2012

Had a great meal here. I had the lamb potkiekos, my daughter had bobotie and my cousin had the boerwors roll. All our meals were well presented and were delicious. The setting is good on the side of a huge pool in a recreation centre and for a moment, sitting under the lapa, I felt as if I was back in South Africa. The waiter was quiet but attentative.

“A unique restaurant here in Malaysia.”
Reviewed July 15, 2012

We tried this restaurant tonight, and really enjoyed it. It is the first place I have seen Ostrich meat in meat here, and in this case I tried Ostrich Carpaccio. For the main course the sirloin was quite good with the garlic butter sauce,

While it is a little pricey - it is a good change of pace with excellent meat selection.

“Unusual setting - good food”
Reviewed May 28, 2012

This restaurant is not easy to find if you are a visitor. Located in a sports and recreation complex it has 3 main areas: the outside area next to the pool for families with kids (there is a wooden fence and gate for safety); the covered open air restaurant and the Kudu Bar. There is an air-conditioned part, but I have never seen anyone in there. Food is good South African fare (try the Zebu Pie) and a wide selection if wines and beers. The staff a friendly and helpful. The Kudu bar is frequented by mostly expat sports enthusiasts due to the big screen showing live sports events. Whenever South Africa play rugby against any unfortunate opponent the Kudu bar is packed.

“Decent fare, average service”
Reviewed March 24, 2012

nice ambiance with outdoor dining area. The menu is not extensive but they have a pizza kiosk (a separate concern) who will deliver pizzas to your table. The food is decent. The sausages are tasty but gristly. The lamb ribs were sinewy and tough but they had a good flavour. The best dish there is the Zebu Pie which is essentially a beef pie but it is made in a lovely rich wine like sauce with perfect flaky pastry on top. It was served with creamed spinach which was tasty and chips which were ok. They have a good selection of S African wines and some cider, which is a plus in Malaysia! The ambiance is nice with a bar (rather smoky), an air-conditioned dining area, an outdoor covered dining area and an open outdoor dining area beside the swimming pool. There is also a children's play area nearby where parents can keep an eye on their children whilst having a drink.
