“Ambiance is their best feature”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 1, 2012

Besides ambiance we can't say much. Their coffee brewing machine broke down and their cakes were unimpressive but rather expensive. Perhaps we'll come again when the coffee machine is fixed and try their food so that we can get to enjoy the cosy surroundings.

“Good location, average fare”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 22, 2012

Location tells the story here, perfect spot. Nothing particularly interesting on the menu ... But a reasonable range of eclectic average food. We did find a couple of rotten prawns in one dish! But managed to avoid a digestive disaster just in time.

“Great location and very nice meal”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 21, 2012

Would not complain at all about the superb location and very nice food we had at the restaurant, however, the food arrived very quickly which just made us think about whether it had been freshly prepared - we were probably spoilt by the seeing food prepared before our eyes at other place we ate. Great tasting though, well presented and good value. Would definitely recommend others to give it a go.

For the equivalent of 2 quid, what a meal. So tasty and good value. Lovely place with colonial ambience on the waterfront.

“Best value on the menu is the view”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 12, 2012

A delightful spot with a river view and popular ( for photos) cat statue out front. Neither the food nor the service was particularly special but did not detract from the over- all dining experience. The Bistro has a location monopoly and the staff were pleasant and reasonably expeditious.
