Worth a visit. It can be as short as a 15 minutes' visit or a long one hour plus detailed tour around the well maintained museum. Every audio presentation of the different Chinese dialects worked perfectly. Personally, I was very impressed with the museum with short but precise notes of the community contribution to Kuching. Entrance is free of charge.

I really enjoyed my visit to this museum. Like other reviewers I thought the explanation of how the Chinese came to Sarawak and their different roles in the community was very well done. I enjoyed the big wall map of present day Kuching which marks Chinese businesses. It was fun to walk down Carpenter Street and realise that many of the shops are run by Chinese.

It is small but it tells the whole story of the Chinese influence in Sarawak. Conveniently located at the Kuching waterfront, it is free of charge. many pictures and artefacts shown

A very small but interesting museum. Another good use of an old building. Helped me understand how different the Chinese dialects and peoples are. How hard they all worked to gain a better life!

It's a small room, just nice for a half hour cool respite from the heat. It gives an interesting insight into the culture of the Chinese settlers
