There are three themes of museum in same location. Should not miss out if you come to visit Kuching city and it is totally free of charge…

I've visited this museum many times since living in Kuching in the 1950s and 60s - it's a wonderful record of the history and natural history of Kuching and Sarawak - displays are well presented and it's all very interesting. An amazing building too.

We spent an hour or so in the museum and could have stayed longer. Admission is free, which is a good start. The museum is beautifully situated alongside well manicured lawns. Inside, there are interesting exhibits including (upstairs) a reconstructed traditional Iban house. There are also plent of interesting natural history exhibits. Just the thing for a wet morning or afternoon.

This place is interesting and you can get souvenirs at a reasonable price. It shows all the Japanese Occupation and such, it's an amazing place I would say.
