Some considerable effort has been put into providing a modern tourist facility. Somewhere to just walk and wander and enjoy the river front in a relaxed manner.

The Riverside is now over 15 years old and still is a nice walk in the evening when the humidity isn't too high. Quite a few food and trinket stalls but no hassle and the reward at the end is the 24 hour bar facing the Hilton.

Sunset~RiverCruise 5pm to 7pm cost $54 (1 time daily)..take u along Sarawak River with audio explanation..with free glass of cordial drink & 3 slice of cake lapis per pax ending with tribe dance performance. Can also try the smaller boat cost abt RM$15 or RM1 sampan ride to the other side (to buy come colourful lapis cake RM10 for 20cm),food stall and some other great food stuff.
For Sarawak Souvenior..best time to buy is @ sat or sun night along the waterfront bazaar which is cheaper compare to the shophouses..bring along small cash for easy buying.
Ending with a photo taken Cat Fountain Statue opp Sarawak Plaza/Holiday Inn Hotel

One side of the waterfront runs along the river, past a few hawker stalls (mainly at night) but a decent way to get from one side of town to the other. This is also where you pick up a riverboat cruise. All the souvenir shops line the other side of the waterfront and here you will find (among lots of imported goods) a decent selection of merchandise.
