We did two tours with Borneo adventure. The first was a 3 day, 2 night trip to the smallest national park of Sarawak, Tanjung Datu. One hour sea trip before landing on the most beautiful deserted beach we ever saw. The 5 of us with our excellent guide Joe were the only guests, apart from the 5 park rangers. Hiking, swimming, just enjoying the lush forest. And then, on the second evening the hatching of green turtles. Paradise exists!
Second tour was again 3 day, 2 night tot Ulung Ai National Park. Staying at the guesthouse next to the Iban Longhouse. Deep, deep in to the forest, the boat ride with the longboats and their 15 PK Yamaha engines was amazing and spectacular. The people friendly, the young children playful (above 7 they are away at school). Again a very good guide Lemon. Did a forest hike, swimming in and BBQ along the river. Fish nibbling your feet.

Borneo adventure is not cheap at all, even considering EU-standards, but very good and they let the locals profit from your visit. Worth every penny!

We did the three days - Two nights package in Batang Ai, spending one night in the Nanga Sumpa lodge, and one night at the Lubok Kasai lodge. Overall, this was a wonderful experience. The jungle trekking and the rides on small jungle boats were clear highlights, but the best part was actually getting to meet locals, both in long houses and during the trip (considering that apart from the main guide - whose family was partly from this area too - , all staff were locals). We did not get to see so much wildlife because the area is so big, so the animals still have plenty of space, but we did not mind, as the scenaries were enough to fill our brains with great memories.

the accomodation itself was pretty basic, but we did get the Lubok Kasai lodge all for ourselves. Food was good considering we were in the middle of the jungle. A particular highlight was the delicious Iban BBQ.

We did the 4day/5night red ape trail.... Words cannot describe how much I enjoyed this! The guide So-Bang was excellent and spoke great English, the Porters who helped guide, cook and carry the equipment were excellent, the trekking was excellent and despite only seeing one Orang-utan up close, the whole thing was amazing.

Our porters even invited us to eat with them once we returned to from our trek in their house and took me fishing on their long boat.

My advice would be to leave your expensive hiking boots and cloths at home and just buy cheap rubber shoes sometimes known as adidas kampung (they look like rubber football/soccer boots) available from most markets in Kuching and wear thin Cotten shirts and trousers. Also, travel light as it can get very very hot and dirty :)

I could go on and on but I need to go... Just stop thinking about it and do it :)

On this tour you are supposed to see crocodiles, monkeys, dolphins and fireflies. Well, after a bus ride of 45 min we went on a boat and for a very long time we only saw water. We saw very few dolphins, no crocodiles and 2 monkeys very far away. This tour isn't worth spending your money on at all.

We did 4 nights Red Ape Trail trek with Borneo Adventure in Sarawak, and it was absolutely a great experience! In the Nanga Sumpa longhouse we met the Iban people and saw how they are living - no any special tourist shows or entertainment, just sitting on the veranda, talking and tasting local, homemade drinks. The jungle trek in the Heart of Borneo with the guide and three Iban porters was unforgettable even though we didn't see any orang-utans.

Everything in the trek was well organized! Our guide Sobeng was fantastic, wise, fun and kind-hearted man.
