“Unusual”
Reviewed January 30, 2013

Worth a trip if you love / like cats. OR even fancy visiting a very quirky, off the wall, exhibit.

Good views of the city and surrounded by nice gardens.

“Better save your visit for some other place”
Reviewed January 30, 2013

There is nothing interesting inside and is outright mundane. It is located inside the Govt. building of DBKL.There are no visible signboards from town to guide you(fortunately). There is no entry fee,but you must pay for photography gear, which is ridiculous as there is nothing worth a click inside.Inside it's all about cats...but not stuffed cats...models,drawings & anything linked to cats.Boring place. However, the area where it is located is lovely & on top of a plateau. One can have a bird's eye view of Kuching from here which is interesting. You need private transport to go there conveniently.

“old boring felines...but interesting”
Reviewed January 29, 2013

this is my second visit to this place after some 20 years, and nothing much has changed...though it is interesting to look at the collections,we can do without it...this place is located quite a distance form the city centre...

unless you are a cat lover or collector...you can enjoy and savour every itty bitty tiny collection and marvel at it..

..visit this place if you have absolutely nothing in mind to do...the main bazaar is much more attractive and fun to shop :o)

“If you like cats, yes, otherwise, no”
Reviewed January 27, 2013

Nope, you will not get to see real cats here! It's a museum on the history of cats and basically that's all you will see here. Quiet most of the time but you are able to have a good view of Kuching from top of a hill from where this museum is located. There are many stories and pictures of cats from all over the world...well, Kuching is said to sound like cat in our local language and thus, the museum is sort of linked to the city as well. :) If you are going to the beaches, then you might want to stop by quickly for this museum, otherwise, no point to travel all the way here just for this museum.

“For Cat Lovers.”
Reviewed January 13, 2013 via mobile

Cat lovers will find this place interesting. Entrance is free, but you do need to pay if you want take pictures inside the museum.
The museum is not as boring as some said. There are lots paintings, cat stories behind some historic people (including Einstein and Newton) etc etc...
Maybe you'll like it, maybe you won't. At least you got to tell people that you went to the cat museum in the Cat City.
