“Oasis”
Reviewed December 27, 2013

Wandering down Chinatown in Kuching with 2 grumbling kids in tow and spotted this cafe.
Sat down and ordered Passionfruit Iced tea, Iced Blended mocha and Ice Cappuccino. So very very good and each drink under RM5. Even the kids were happy. Ordered a Latte just to prolong the peaceful interlude before heading off again. Ordered roasted coffee beans to take back to NZ. Asked the lady about their roasting and they roast on premises, I think they roast every 2 days.

“Great coffee in an unassuming place”
Reviewed December 21, 2013

It's not quite the typical "artisan cafe" that has sprouted around Kuala Lumpur. In fact, it's got "rustic ambience" not in the designer way but in the true manner - it's just an little old shop which probably seen much of a facelift since the 70s, with random pictures on the walls. Two little tables with chairs scattered round. But do come here anyway - the coffee beans are really well roasted and the coffee is so fragrant you could just stick to a long black and truly enjoy the flavour. Coffee is made strong here so if you're not quite the coffee enthusiast, you might want to ask them to dilute it a bit more. Two and a half stars for the deco, five for the coffee, and four for the service. Definitely would come back here again if I get the chance.

“Good local coffee and nice atmosphere”
Reviewed December 12, 2013

This is by far the best coffee in town!!
The two very friendly ladies serve good cappuccino, café laté and expresso in hot or iced versions.
Coffees from different origins, includind Sarawak are available.
They also have a good selection of local tea.
I loved the atmosphere, very unique, somewhere between a local shop house and a trendy little coffee shop.
All this for a very reasonable price. So please forget about Starbucks and come here for a much nicer and tastier experience , you won't regret it!

Staying at Pullman hotel, went out for walk down by river and found this close by. Coffee freshly roasted on ice really hit the spot.

“A gem in Kuching”
Reviewed December 1, 2013 via mobile

Love it. Husband is local and his wife is from Taiwan. High quality beans at affordable price - a Long Black at MYR 3.50. Wow ... I would call this a gourmet coffee institution in South East Asia and a must-visit destination for all serious coffee drinkers. Yup, you can talk to them on getting the right level of acidity by mixing the desired type of beans for your coffee!
