“public beach”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 27, 2013

This is the only maintained public beach you could find here in Kuching. Just 30 minutes from Kuching, under the shade of Mount Santubong, you could take a break from the hectic city and come here to see the bird soaring into the sea. A fun place for family.

“An ideal place to rest and rejuvenate”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 28, 2012 via mobile

A new kid on the block this is the place visitors would end up after visiting the Sarawak Ciltural Village or just after a short drive from the city. This is definitely a right place to be since there has not been any such amenity available within the Santubong area to cater for visitors' needs. Visitors can enjoy local dishes at hawkers' price in the comfortable Medan Niaga Food Court. Those looking forward to chillout, a few restaurants and bars are also available. It has facilities for meetings, camping and family or group gatherings too. Besides relaxing while enjoying the views of the sea, visitors can stroll along the beach. No more worry about about food whenever in Damai area.

“Nice place to chill”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 27, 2012

If you are up in Santubong area, it is quite nice to just to spend sometime there as there is nothing much in santubong.

There is a food court there with reasonable prices, a Chinese restaurant and Escobar, a drinking place. What I like there is the embience, where you can actually soak up with South China Sea breeze.

“nice complex”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 11, 2012

Having visited the cultural village, we continued across to damai central and it was a nice place, where there are several food stalls and some fancy restaurants. However, when we headed to the beach there weren't any umbrellas to shade us from the powerful heat so we improvised and sat in the shade of our own umbrellas. The beach was clean and the sea was nice. The complex is modern and has your basic needs covered.
