We booked in advance a river cruise for 3 but it was raining that day and only one extra tourist came for the ride. I think it was not worth it for them to go out for only 4 people so they cancelled the cruise at the last minute when we have been waiting 1 hour in the rain...

“Asia experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 15, 2013

Our first visit to Borneo and we have to say this tour guide company are first class, for anyone wanting information about the country, culture, wildlife, plants and much much more you must use this company. Their guides are the best we have ever come across, their knowledge is second to none, they made our tour the most amazing ever and we thank Mas & Ajay so much for being so professional, fun and above all informative and attentive to us. The tour we took was the Santubong wildlife cruise with AJay who told us everything we needed to know about the people, the river, wildlife etc we saw wild dolphins and so many types of monkeys, but even if we were not lucky to see wildlife the information from Ajay was fantastic. The boatman spotted so much wildlife for us his eyesight was incredible too. The next day we did the Bako national park with Mas, he was amazing his knowledge of the country, region, wildlife plants etc was brilliant we saw so many Probisic monkeys, snakes, etc, the day in the rain forest started with heavy rain which was a fabulous experience ending the day in baking sunshine. Our last day was a trip to Semonggok rehab centre with AJay and again we were blown away by the information and knowledge Ajay had on everything we wanted to know, but our highlight was seeing so many Orangutans from Richie the main one to the youngsters and baby. So anyone visiting borneo you must visit Kuching its a must for getting to know all about borneo it really was truly amazing. Thanks from Gina & Simon

This is a very professionally run organisation, would recommend the services of Oscar, Ivy and Adam, the latter being a fantastic guide with superb local knowledge. Will definitely engage them again when I travel to Kuching in future! Thanks Oscar and company for the fantastic service!

“Wildlife mangrove river cruise in the evening”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 29, 2012

My family and I took the wildlife mangrove river cruise in November 2012. We booked our tours from the CPH Travel office and the van came to pick us up at our hotel.

Our guide was excellent, he was friendly and watched out for our safety through out the trip. (the jetty planks were uneven and some pieces was missing but still safe). We were very fortunate to have been able to seen the dolphins, monkeys, a croc and fireflies. Which was an additional bonus because we thoroughly enjoyed the river cruise with the wind in our hair and the fantastic scenery. There was a light refreshment of fruits, water and cold towel.

This cruise was the highlight of our trip!

“Relaxing cruise with lots of wildlife”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 15, 2012

My family with 3 kids, ages 7-12 years old, took this cruise on the recommendation of a friend who had enjoyed it with her preschoolers. They picked us up from our hotel in a minivan and only had to stop at 2 other hotels to pick up others. The jetty was an easy 40 minute drive away from downtown Kuching. Since this isn't a zoo/aquarium with caged animals, they cannot guarantee that animals will just be sitting out on display, but they do their best to track them down (not just randomly cruising along with fingers crossed). The Irrawaddy river dolphins are best seen near fishing boats, so we would cut the engines whenever we got near fishermen. We ended up seeing many dolphins this way. To find the proboscis monkeys, we went close to the shore and looked for movement in the tree branches. We did see a few monkeys from afar, but they were spooked and fled inland before we could get a good look at their noses. The crocodiles were the only animals we didn't have luck with, although my daughter claims she saw one. We stopped by a Malay fishing village for a short stroll and then boarded the boat to look for more crocodiles by shining a strong light beam over the water, looking for their crocodile eyes to reflect it back. The tour ended with a quiet float next to some trees filled with fireflies. Snacks, drinks, and cool towels were handed out during our cruise, and the guide was very knowledgable about the animals. When we returned to the vans, we were immediately driven back to our hotel with no problems.
