“Beautiful”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 20, 2014

We rented a car and drove here after visiting the Wind Caves. Both are worth a trip as they are very different. We had the place to ourselves as it was a rainy Friday morning so was even better as we were free to check out the acoustics of the place! It's a beautiful cave and a great place to visit, especially if you rent a car. (However, don't go if you do not like a lot of steps...)

“Well worth it.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 16, 2014 via mobile

Definitely worth a visit. Entry costs 5rm for foreigners. Bus 2 goes to Bau town from Kuching city centre around the corner from the market. Cost is 4.5rm each way. Taxi cot 20rm from Bau to caves although there is a local bus that will drop u at the junction to the caves, sorry didn't catch its number or destination. Leave good time and ask bus drivers. Last return bus from Bau to Kuching is about 4:30pm. Take a torch.

“Unexpectedly Good”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 16, 2014

Its a nice little side trip from Kuching. We caught a bus from Kuching and then a taxi from Bau. We organized for the taxi driver to come back and pick us up an hour later. An hour almost wasn't long enough. As mentioned in other reviews there are a lot of stairs and the railing on the wooden stairs in the cave are not maintained. The steps can be very slippery inside due to the moisture, however due care and good shoes help a lot.

The only problems we had were the buses from Kuching to Bau. The time tables changed depending on where you looked at them, which didn't really matter because the buses worked independently of them anyway. My advise would be to head there early in the morning in case the buses don't run on time.

“A Magical place ”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 15, 2014 via mobile

This is one of the more visually stunning caves that I have been to, I liken it to the mossy forest in the Cameron Highlands. The main cave is huge and well lit with brightly coloured Moss and plant life growing all around. Definitely worth a trip, also you can visit the wind cave at the same time if you take a tour with Ooo haa tours (one of our favorite tour companies ever) their guides are all great at spotting animals and very friendly/knowledgeable.

“Mesmerising ”

I will never forget my visit to this place, it has such a small opening but the cave is massive from inside. Forgot to bring tourch so had to use mobile but so with little sun light it's gives a brilliant view inside.
