My wife and chose to eat here as it is in a reasonable setting with views across the river. However it was the poor service that really let this place down, especially given the restaurant was virtually empty. We ordered our food and after about 15 minutes we were brought our main course which was rather surprising as we hadn't had our starters so we sent it back. They seemed put out by this but hey we're the customers and weren't happy. After another 10 minutes our starters arrived, my wife had a prawn salad/cocktail and I had the chicken satay, both were quite good and the portions generous. After our starter we asked for a bottle of water, after about 15 minutes it hadn't arrived so we asked again, I'm not sure if they were taking the proverbial but instantly two bottles arrived! 20 minutes later we finally got our main courses, the wife had chicken fried rice which she said was really good. I had the lamb in the black pepper sauce and it was virtually inedible. The sauce was watery and tasted of nothing other than a watery black pepper flavour, worse still the lamb was a leg steak that had been thinly sliced, bones and all. Every other mouthful was a piece of lamb that had a fairly sharp shard of bone attached, and to top it off it was as tough as old boots. Food wise three of the four dishes were decent, but the slow, surly and inept service meant we were not going to return, nor would we recommend.
