The rooms are nice, well designed, simple and completed with all the basic facilities.. One of the good thing is you can use free wi-fi! even from your room. Bindi (owner) is very nice, friendly and helpful!

Location is perfect, just walking distance from the river. It is not facing the main road, so it is not affected by traffic noise. Very near to a church. Just few steps away, you can find good food. The handicrafts shops are nearby too. Bus stations are walking distance within 5-10 minutes. I like the kitchen!

We stayed here for a few nights in December. Bindi the owner is very welcoming and has put a lot of effort into making the Three House a comfortable place to stay. We felt really comfortable pottering around having a cuppa or watching a dvd. Bindi has the balance spot on - she's a friendly host but gives you your personal space so you can relax. The guesthouse is really clean and tidy, there's cooking facilities & laundry can be done cheaply. Highly recommended.

We planned to stay for three nights and ended up staying for two weeks. Threehouse was the best hostel we stayed at while travelling through Southeast Asia. Attention to detail is second to none; the hostel is very clean, with one member of staff assidously making sure everything is shipshape throughout the day. Kitchen facilities were excellent with a great selection of crockery and cooking facilities. The living room was also welcoming; clean, comfortable, tastefully decorated, with a selection of DVDs to watch on the flatscreen TV. The toilets and showers were clean and new, with a plentiful supply of toilet paper (not often seen in Southeast Asia!) The location is excellent within walking distance of shops, supermarkets, restaurants, waterfront and so on. The Swedish owner, Bindi, is a delight and adds a unique personal charm to the place. Our room was small but with everything else going for the hostel, it didn't seem to matter.

Very nice & cozy guesthouse. It's good value, the staff is very friendly (Swedish girl & Iban Tattoo legend own the place). One of the few places I've been to that was really decorated with taste & concept.
Highly recommended.

Location: 5-10 minutes walk to supermarkets, bus stations, waterfront, under 5 minutes to major museums in Kuching.

Price: 15 Rm for the dorm, 40 Twin, 55 Doublebed

Facilities: Bathroom and Dorm are relatively clean, linenh and towels are provided, but you might have to do that yourself, facilities includes livingroom with dvds and tv as well as fully equipped kitchen.

Also - the dorm is completely overheated, as it is cramped and has only one fan

Owners: really uncomfortable feeling:
not really helpful with regard to tourist information,
one of the guys in the dorm had to spend one night at another hostel because that onje was full and although he had stayed tehre for almost a week, she would not allow him to hang out with us even for 5 minutes in the lobby.
several of us witnessed the boyfriend of one of the three owners and incidently one of the three owners himself beat up ratehr savagely the thrid owner right in front of the hostel in the middle of the day!
the girl owner was really impolite when one of the guys staying in the dorm forgot to take his shoes off ( only once)

So while the location is great, the price ok, the owner give you a very unpleasant feeling while staying there

Stayed with Bindi in her and her partners new BnB on Jalan Upper China, central Kuching. Excellent location, lovely clean rooms and very reasonably priced. We stayed in two rooms, one double, one twin, but there are dorms and more double rooms. Bindi was an excellent host, a wealth of information and Threehouse was our home for a few days. Enjoyed the lovely little kitchen and the lounge room, where the kids watched dvds in our "down time" Definitely recommended! Thanks Bindi (and Fendi)

We stayed here after a month of travel around Sarawak and Sabah and would definately recommend as a clean, homely place to stay. The owners are very friendly and helpful, the location is central and for long term travellers like us the comfy tv room was perfect for an evening to catch up on a few films.
Breakfast included and kitchen facilities the best we have encountered in Borneo.
