This market is very interesting because it has a wide variety of stuff to see. Most of the things are cheap and the food there made me so hungry. Batik there are of decent quality. Tried Dabai, a local fruit and it taste good

Very old historic fresh produce market that attracts both locals and visitors alike. There's meats and poultry, fruit and veg, jungle produce, pets, clothes. Great photo ops. Next year it will be relocated so visit it now. It's been there for decades.

This weekend market just to the west of the CBD, comes with a rave on unique jungle produce. No doubt there is a sprinkling of interesting jungle fruits and vegetables, but this chaotic market is basically a source of a wide range of fruit, vegetables,  fish and other condiments generally available throughout Sarawak. Many of the exotics such as midin, are available on the streets, in supermarkets and at restaurants. While there is quite a bit of color and bustle in the market, this place is not that much different from a multitude of farmers markets all over the world. Maybe the heat, flies and congestion are not worth the hard work in getting here. Some of the tour companies will bring you here for a fee ... It is hard to see why anyone would bother.

You can find anything from slippers to pets to plants to food here. Prices are cheap and bargain-able. Be careful of pickpockets though. It's always full of people from all walks of life.
