It was really great seeing these primates but ensure you get a guide to tell you all about them! An experience not to be missed and only 5 ringgits too!

We went to the afternoon feeding session. By the time 3pm arrived the place was very crowded. There were several families who didn't seem to know how to be quiet despite being told several times. The orangutans will not come down to the platform if it's too noisy (quite understandable too, I wouldn't want to eat my dinner in front of 100+ people either).

After a short wait we were fortunate enough that two orangutans did come down to feed. It was amazing to see the orangutans, especially seeing them break a coconut against a tree, however the magic was taken away by the noisy rude families.

If children cannot keep quite they should not be allowed in the park at all as it ruins everyone else's experience. Also in the national park they had 3 crocodiles in very small enclosures. One of them didn't even have any water. We found this extremely cruel & couldn't understand why they were there?

It's really easy to get here by public bus. It starts in the town centre & ends at the national park just make sure you return in time to catch the last bus back at 4pm.

The fact that the Orang Utans are totally wild, makes this much more worth while. Way better than going to a zoo to look at them. Great preservation effort, lots of information on birth, species and habitat and the living of Orang Utans. :)

It was good to get to see the wild orangutans so close. Richie was really massive. We got to see around 7 of them, most were babies, very cute.

Fantastic visit. Lots of orangutans and plenty to learn about the conservation efforts that go into saving them. Can't visit Kuching without seeing them.
