Good value for money. All the staff were excellent and very accommodating. The food was of a very good quality. The rooms were spacious with a good outlook over the pool. The gardens were very laid out and the pool was good to use. We had a three tours with Brandon who was excellent. It is a pleasure to recommend Basaga.

We stayed here for 4 nights. The building is lovely and nicely done. The staff were very nice and helpful. Brandon organized a couple of tours for us which we thoroughly enjoyed. It's slightly out of town which is nice. Would recommend this to others.

Room Tip: We had a room facing the pool on the first floor. This is nice as it is quieter and has a balcony for you to sit on.

I love the ambience of this place... The room is large and the toilet is large as well..there are a couple of things this place can improve in putting up a signage/signboard of this place. without GPS or Waze i believe it is impossible to find this place. The place is convenient with amnities and it is near to Kuching City as well... Next is the bidet prepared in the room... That should be improves. Your staffs are all friendly.

Room Tip: Please ignore the fitness and spa rating as this place do not provide the service

We spent seven days in Basaga which turned out to be a wonderful and very pleasant experience. The hotel is quite cheap compared to other hotels in Kuching and it is amazing what one gets for this relatively low price. The hotel which was originally a school compound that was built about 80 years ago has still a wonderful classic feel. The architecture and the cleverly positioned trees, palms etc. create the impression to be in a nature environment while being in the middle of the town. All over the place there is fine art on the walls, also in the rooms. For us it created a very relaxed atmosphere that we experienced most sitting next to the lovely positioned swimming pool. The swimming pool is being neatly cleaned at least once a day. The restaurant is good and not expensive with much from the western kitchen which we appreciated a lot. It is well visited by people from town as well with ample opportunities to choose a pittoresque place to have a dinner.

Next to the location itself we enjoyed very much the friendly staff and the very helpful service at the reception. These people do everything to make you feel at home and to help you out if there is a problem. The beds were very good as well as the airco. Rooms are cleaned everyday and there is clean linen everyday if you want. Breakfast is included, it is copious and good as well.
Twice a day there is a free shuttle to the famous Waterfront in the center of Kuching. Return with a taxi costs only 15 Ringit.
All in all we can recommend this hotel to everyone who enjoys to recieve much for little money.

Room Tip: We had a room at the first floor opposite the swimming pool. These rooms are located alongside a roofed corridor with open view on the beautiful trees, the swimming pool etc. So you can sit there and relax in front of your room in the shadow and dry when it rains. We enjoyed it a lot.
