This place is nowhere near anything you might want to visit as a tourist in Kuching. The day we arrived it took us half an hour of walking (it was pretty hot so we weren't going that quickly) to only just made it to the first cat statue on the eastern end of town. There are so many places closer to (or actually in) town I see no reason to stay at 360, the only reason we ended up there was because our visit coincided with the bi-annual Hash and everywhere else was booked out.
To top it off we found the staff both unfriendly and unhelpful. Everywhere else we stayed in Malaysia the staff practically fell over themselves to help us but here was the complete opposite. As an example, we wanted to go to Bako National Park so asked in town at the information office about buses and were told they left from near the waterfront and then headed out east and hence went past 360. The lady at the info office wasn't exactly sure where the bus stop was out near our hotel but said our hotel reception should be able to help. So we asked at the hotel where the bus stop was and was told that the bus didn't come anywhere near the hotel and the closest point to get on would be at the waterfront. In light of this conflicting info we decided to play it safe and got a taxi into the waterfront and got on the bus there ... then of course the bus drives practically straight past our hotel on the way to Bako! Needless to say we got off the return bus at a stop just a couple of minutes walk from the hotel.
Everything just seemed too hard for them. Even little things like getting a second card to access our room or getting towels to use the pool (took three phone calls) or smiling!
Don't stay here if you're planning on spending your time enjoying the pretty town that Kuching is, unless you want to spend half your money on taxis into and out of town (a necessity in the evening as otherwise you're walking through some pretty dark and deserted areas to get home).
