I booked for a Deluxe Queen Single Room in Tower B from Agoda. To my surprise when I enter the room. There are 2 queen size beds and plenty of space to move around. The room also is facing the river. There is small shopping complex located at the ground floor and a pub if you want to have supper and beers to chill out late at night. Not much of activities around the area after 6pm as the surrounding are just office buildings. There is a foot massage shop located just opposite the pub, which open quite late.

p/s: Not sure if they had provided me the correct room and I don’t bother to ask. ;)

We stayed for a week in tower B, and must say it was fantastic. Although classed as a budget hotel, It was 5 star without all the unnecessary trimmings that you never use, although it has a small pool, and a restaurant. The staff are so friendly and helpful, and even looked after my wife who was ill for one day. There is an adjacent shopping mall with everything you need, and a regular shuttle bus to the town centre, and they will even take you elsewhere if you pre book. We will definately stay here again, particularly at the very reasonable rates

Room Tip: Both Tower A & B are excellent, but B is more recent and has faster lifts.

Have stayed in both Tower A and B. A is hotel while B is service apartment.

Room rates are very reasonable. Hotel is clean and comes with LCD TV and cable channels.

Can't say the same for some other hotels in Kuching where they still use CRT TV.

The shopping mall at Tower A is a bit shady though.

My family and I stayed at a 2 bedroom apartment in Tower B at this hotel and it was truly value for money. The unit was clean, spacious (there were 3 bathrooms!) and well furnished. Cups and utensils were provided in the well equipped kitchen which had a kettle, fridge, microwave and stove.
Wifi was free and you can connect to it on multiple devices (mobile phone, laptop and tablet at the same time).
Buffet breakfast was provided in Tower A which was a 3 minute walk away either through the mall on ground floor or the walkway beside the pool on level 4. Quality of food was good and quantity was adequate but selection was not enormous.
Young staff at reception were friendly and helpful. We called about the DVD player and a young man appeared within 5 minutes to show us how to operate it.
In particular, I would like to mention the excellent service rendered by the general manager Mr Richard Wong. He responds to email promptly and practises a level of customer service that exceeds that in some 5 star hotels!

Here is my overview of the hotel after spending 3 nights with 2 premier rooms (2 queen size beds per room).

The good thing about this hotel it's really cheap among other hotels that i stayed before around the world.

No doubts like other says the room is spacious with 2 queen size beds suitable cater to family with young kids. the beds are comfy and with tons of pillows.

Here is the list of drawback:
(A) water leakage out from shower screen in the bathroom whenever a shower is taken, the floor trap unable to flow in the water thus it flow into entire bathroom floor.

(B) The A/C is way too cold like you are staying in North pole;if you run it permanently without stop because the sensor will scan the room temperature and auto adjust the coolness of the A/C. if you set the coolness into Auto mode, the A/C will run interval every 30 minutes to On/Off by itself. this way is too stuffy while waiting for the interval timer to run but it's the way the hotel idea to save electricity on the other side.

(C)The room with Wired broadband, wired or wifi most of the time its way too slow or disconnected by itself.

(D) the breakfast served at horizon cafe at 4th floor, it's nothing fancy and below my average taste. the food choices are very limited, it's just like they packed the food from outside and served in the hotel for you.

(E) The swimming pool is way too small !!! even my condo pool are much bigger.

(F) Room key card; only 1 be issued, it spells hassle if you are traveling in group and the elevators require the card to work.

(G) Complimentary laundry located at Tower B at selected floors, the laundry at 6th floor is really dissapointing and boils my blood. there is no washing powder/detergent in the laundrette room, the drying machine i dont think is working, after agony waiting of almost 2 hours, my laundry is still wet and not dry at all. add-on, the dry machine door latch is loosen/broken. if the door accidentally opened itself, the whole machine stop. this happen when i leave it run and wait at lobby only realized when i go up and recheck clothes dropped out from it. and i have to redo it again, end of night, everything still wet.

Will i stay again in future? NO.
i rather spend more in pullman hotel nearby.

from Room 511 & 513.

Room Tip: ask for more 2 key cards to your room.

I've been staying in this hotel since it start operate few years ago, this is my 5th stay in this hotel, so there must be some good reason. I always stayed in Tower B, so not very sure about tower A.

The good things about this hotel have been shared by all the other reviewers such as spacious room, beautiful view of the river, broadband internet in all room .... you can check it out yourselves. As tower B already operate for few years already, don't expect it still new, otherwise i recommend u to stay at tower A which is newer.

However ...... i am not very happy with some aspects of this hotel. As a loyal customer, i really do hope there will be some improvement.

Things that need to be improved:
1. Services - maybe now the tower A is opened, they don't care about tower B so much? I just could not feel the sincerity / friendliness from the hotel staff, really missed the time when u guys just start operating few years back. All the staff at that time are very friendly, helpful and courteous.

While most of the hotel have similar facilities, it is the service attitude which make the difference. Being stay in so many hotel, this is the first hotel which ask me to write the plate number and room number myself in order to get the free parking!! Even worse...i was given a red pen to write! I mean the morning staff, not the evening staff.

2. Hot shower - not functioning at all in my first day, but resumed for the 2nd and 3rd.

3. Power plug / socket - there are at least 7-8 socket in the room but most of them is not functioning! Only 2 can be used.

4. Car park - i always travel by car, so i am very particular about the car park. I really missed the 1st stay in this hotel bcos that time i can used the room card to access the car park gate. But then u guys does not use this system anymore.

Another thing is the car park does not have clear sign / direction for the hotel guest who drive in, especially finding the entrance to Basement 3.

5. Bathroom - really need to find some way to isolate the bath tub, otherwise every time after shower the bathroom is very wet.

6 Elevator - very slow!! especially during breakfast hours. one of the elevator can only afford 5 people!!

Maybe u guys think i am very fuzzy, but it;s my hope that there will be improvement for u.

If i am not happy with ur hotel, i wouldn't stay so many times right?

Overall.. this is still a very good choice hotel for family with two beds (queen + single) and many pillows. The price is reasonable also.

Stay again? Yes!
