A buddy brought me here after our morning jog at Stutong Park and boy the Laksa was the best i tasted on my short trip to Kuching even better than the more famed kopitiam in town the name of which escapes me. The kolo mee is good too. And it is always packed so do go early.

This kopitiam has been around a few years and the crowd keeps on coming and growing. The varieties of food sold here are numerous. The best toasted bread with butter and kaya in town is found here.Reminds one of old times when breakfast was a simple cup of coffee and toasted bread done over charcoal fire!Love it tremendously.Owned and operated by two sisters, one has to come early to get a table or wait patiently for one.Prices of the food are reasonable.

We stumbled into this place not expecting much, but the food was really tasty (I had noodles) and prices were good. All very basic so don't expect to much but all in all a good dining experience.

Yeow Kee is one of the places that just ever stops buzzling with people. Food is aplenty and has great variety. Made up of many different hawker stalls, it is a great representation of the various food you can find in Kuching and Sarawak. My personal favourite is the foochow noodle "Chao Cai Mee" which is a clear based noodle soup with a sourish tinge to it.

Have a go! I've been there many times and each type of dish is of reputable quality.

Get there early. It's ALWAYS busy, The wontons are especially nice, with a hint of cooking wine in them. They're good for their kuehs, toast with kaya (coconut jam) and a lot of other choices of local food.

With the current construction work going on, traffic is a pain in the neck, but if you happen to be around there, definitely worth a stopover.
