Close to the river and the Chinatown this Hotel is really nice.
The staff is nice and helpful, they helped us to arrange last minute Tours and especially Julie went out of her way to make sure we could join another small group who were doing the same tour which saved us a lot of Money! Thanks again!
The Roms are nice and clean and the rooftop Lounge is great to have a Sundowner cocktail. Especially after coming back from Batu National Park it was nice to stay in a clean place and have a proper hot shower with clean water again!
If you are in Kuching definitely go to Batu National Park but make sure to stay two Nights to experience the park once the day Tourists go back to Kuching! Also the Orang-Utan Sanctuary (semengho) is worth a visit!

The lime tree hotel was a perfect stay for me. It was clean, comfortable and the staff were lovely. The breakfast was nice and staff attentive to guests needs. The room service, free Internet, and roof top bar was an added bonus! Will def say there again. The only con would be its about 4 blocks away from the centre of town (20 minute walk)

We liked our stay at Lime Tree around Easter 2013. It is located about a 10 minute walk from the Grand Margherita and the waterfront, and is really close to Chinatown.

We had pre-organised an airport transfer which was event-free and comfortable. The rooms are neat and clean, and carry all the essentials although I would have liked a little more space and a better cable selection on tv. The staff were courteous and wonderfully helpful, answering all our questions about tours and travel in and around of Kuching. We visited Sarawak Cultural Village through a tour option provided by the hotel and really enjoyed it!

Breakfast buffet was adequate, the restaurant served good food (great coffee) and the roof top bar was pleasant, despite the tacky green carpeted flooring!

Wifi in the room was a bit erratic, but not overly bothersome. At times, we also utilized their desktops in the lobby area. Overall, it was a comfortable stay. We walked the waterfront stretch and passed the Hilton and a few other hotels in that stretch. Naturally they are located in a better spot, but the Limetree being a short walk away was a great value for money.

I was impressed with the Lime Tree. It was comfy, clean and modern and in a convenient location. The rooftop bar is nice and you can get good coffee! The service was good and professional. I'd stay there again.

Simple and decent hotel located strategically within the city center and not very far from the water front and a minute walk to Chinatown.
Friendly staff accommodating to all your requests. Clean room, but, avoiding stay rooms near lifts as it could be a bit noisy.
Not many choice of the breakfast.

Room Tip: High floor, but try to avoid staying rooms near lifts as it could be a bit noisy

So glad to see that Lime Tree is still getting rave reviews. And with good reason. This hotel is simply rocking. From the fabulous staff who are more than accommodating to all your requests (no matter how ridiculous) to the simple but clean rooms that are great value. We ended up staying here for nearly a week and never felt disappointed once. We especially loved the breakfasts that given they were included in the room rate were better than average. They were beautifully presented and tasted even better. We love Kuching and love Lime Tree even more. Oh and organize airport pickup the driver (can't remember his name) is lovely as it's cheaper than a require taxi. Oh and the other thing we really liked about Lime Tree is although they can organize tours for you we never once felt pressured to use them even after inquiring. This was quite a breath of fresh air after some rather uncomfortable experiences in other hotels.

We stayed here for 5 nights last month, picking Kuching as our introduction to Malaysian Borneo. We were near the end of a 5 week rather frenetic trip to SE Asia, and wanted to just hunker down and really have the chance to explore on day trips without moving each night. The Lime Tree was the perfect spot for this. Everyone there was very helpful, getting us set up with tours and good advice. The food was excellent and reasonable. The location was great for our needs, although it was a bit of a walk to get into the heart of the waterfront area. The one glitch was when we first arrived, a noticeable odor of cigarettes lingering in our small but adequate non smoking room. We asked to move, and they could not accommodate us due to being fully booked. However, they did a very through cleaning that was sufficient enough to take care of the problem. We would stay here again most happily. Great value for the money.
